Today's Video: New Celtics Presser, Danny Explains, Rondo Highlights

Today's video begins with the press conference for the 3 new Celtics. My first reaction was to think that they coordinated their outfits as all wore grey hoodies. They seem to be happy to be in Boston and there was a light feel to the conference as a whole. They were impressed with the way the Celtics played last night and are looking forward to joining the team and expect to adapt quickly. Jameer Nelson has been impressed over the years with Celtics fans and I had to laugh when he talked about never wearing green before but thinks it complements his skin tone.

Second is Danny Ainge talking about the trade. Uncertainty about whether the Celtics could resign Rondo this summer led to the trade. Even though Rondo kept saying that he wanted to be in Boston, I tend to believe Perk when he said that Rondo wanted out and that's why Danny made the move. Danny feels that the Celtics gave up the best player in the deal and he's not happy with that but felt that the deal was necessary, even though it was really hard for him. Now, time will tell how the Celtics do without Rondo.

Finally, saying goodbye to a player like Rondo who has been a Celtic for 8 1/2 years and who has meant so much to the team. He was key in bringing a championship to Boston and we watched him grow up before our eyes. He was always fun to watch and always gave us a couple of "How did he do that?" plays every game.
