Celtics End Losing Streak With 101-90 Win Over Sixers

Brandon Bass scored 23 points and the Celtics bounced back from a slow start to beat the 76ers, 101-90, tonight at the Wells Fargo Center.

The Celtics struggled in this one's first quarter, trailing the Sixers by five after the original buzzer. However, thanks to the 9/13 shooting performance by Bass as well as 22 points from Jeff Green and 13 assists from Rajon Rondo, they evened things up by halftime, before finally jumping out to a lead after the 36-minute mark.

Indeed, the Celtics began to take control of this contest during the second half, and maintained a relatively-comfortable advantage in the fourth. They shot 49.4% (41/83) from the field to Philadelphia's 39.5% (34/86) on the night, and matched the home team's rebounding total with 44.

So yes, it's safe to say they played well this evening, as their effort was good enough to snap their three-game losing streak. They are now 4-6 on the year, the ninth best record in the Eastern Conference.

They will continue this road trip with a Friday visit to the Grizzlies, who are currently 10-1.
