Comments from the Other Side - Sixers 11/19/14

 Good to see the Celtics get back in the win column, even if it was against the Sixers.  That's progress because last year, the Celtics lost 3 games to the 19 win Sixers.  Also very glad not to be the Sixers first win of the season.   I honestly feel bad for their fans because Sixers fans good fans.  I still remember their Beat LA chants back in the day.   My favorites are in bold, what are yours? 


Let’s hope Wroten tries harder on D than he did vs. Bradley in pre-season.

1. Evan Turner complaining to the ref while play continues : 2 1/2
2. Nerl the Pearl stuffing fools : 2 1/2

1) Over – as long as he gets the minutes I expect him to shine! (read: do pouty stuff and look like a Dinosaur)
2) Over – Olynyk and Sullinger have short-ass arms and Nerlens basically has Lacrosse sticks for arms

I see a W tonight. Nerlens and MCW going up against the team they probably grew up rooting for since they are both Mass. Born. Have to think that desire to win helps as does an awful play or two on the part of ET

Problem with tonight’s game is this Boston team plays hard and it’s hard to see them mailing this one in.

But if Nerlens can set the defensive tone and they don’t get killed from beyond the arc they’ll have a shot. MCW & Wroten should be able to get to the basket with relative easy.

Sixers will win. By 15. Celtics become the league’s new disgrace. Book it

I'm predicting a win tonight. As bad as our team is we match up very well with the Celtics.

Cant wait for this game tonight but mostly so I can watch Rondo play. he's still my favorite point guard in the NBA and honestly I'm quite perplexed as to why he is on the Celtics.

This is def a winnable game I think it will come down to slowing down Jeff Green for us he seems to be the guy we match up with the worst.

LOLjust noticed Papa John’s revised their Sixers based promo from 50% off after Sixers wins to 50% off after games in which the Sixers score 90 points.

Celtics have a lot of draft picks too…are in pretty good shape on their rebuild. With new CBA they should be able to resign RONDO to close to a max contract.

Celtics disguised their tanking with players like Evan Turner Tyler Zeller Gerald Wallace and Marcus Thornton I think that’s the 6ers mistake they’ve been too elaborate the media wants them to disguise the tanking with guys like that

Any team that has Evan Turner Is screaming to the world that they are tanking.

Lakers are the truly disguised tank... Byron Scott just doesn’t believe in 3s that is equivalent to tanking. I also posit that the most noticeable signifier of our tank last year was our pace. Forcing our personnel into as many possessions as possible was the most blatant thing the Sixers did to enhance the prospects of losing.

I don't know if you guys have noticed but even during when ET was with us Celtics always plays at this weird pace.it seems like we are too fast for them.

Yeah a lot of that is rondo. He never seems like he's in a hurry. He's also still doing that thing where he passes up open shots to give less talented players pretty similar shots. Not sure if he should still be doing that.
