Trio of Celtics Help Red Claws Spoil Raptors 905 Home Opener 109-104

The Maine Red Claws spoiled the first ever home game for Raptors 905 as they pulled off a 109-104 win. The Celtics 3 assignees all started and contributed to the win. James Young had the least impressive game with 10 points on 3-14 shooting and 1-7 from beyond the arc along with 6 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block.

Jordan Mickey once again had a great game with a near triple double including 21 points (10-19), 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 blocks. Terry Rozier scored 15 points on 10-23 shooting, but 0-5 from beyond the arc. He also added 9 rebounds 8 assists and 1 steal.

Raptors 905 jumped out to an early first-quarter lead in its very first home game and carried a six-point lead into the half. Maine outscored Raptors 905 32-19 in the third quarter, and led by 11 at one point in the quarter. Raptors 905 came back to tie the game two separate times in the final period, but weren't able to retake the lead after the Red Claws’ 26-10 run midway through the third quarter.

The Red Claws will be back in action on Friday night for their home opener against these same Raptors 905. The Celtics are also playing on Friday, but I expect the trio of Mickey, Young and Rozier to remain with the Red Claws for their home opener tonight.
