Celtics Pull Away in Second Quarter; Top Sixers 105-87

Kelly Olynyk scored 30 points and Avery Bradley pitched in 15 more as the Celtics blew out the 76ers, 105-87, Monday night at the Wells Fargo Center.

Olynyk put up a dominant performance in this one, being the only player on either team to score 20+. He accomplished the feat on 12/17 shooting and a 3/5 performance from behind the arch, getting helped out by Brandon Bass' 14, Evan Turner's 12 and Jeff Green's four three-pointers while doing so.

Yet his efforts weren't rewarded immedietely, with the Sixers trailing by just five after one quarter of play. However, once those competitive 12 minutes ended, the Celtics started to make some room between themselves and their opponents, out-scoring Philadelphia 27-13 in the second before keeping things pretty even throughout the third and fourth.

They are now 8-14 on the season, having out-rebounded the Sixers 52-48. That record trails the Nets by just two games for the eight seed, the border between playoffs and no playoffs.
