Today's Video: Replay Center, Stevens Comfort Level, Kelly O

Today's first video is Joe Borgia, Senior Vice President, Replay and Referee Operations, talking about the NBA's new replay center. I've made it clear over the years that I believe that the NBA officiating is bad at best and crooked at worst. I don't believe that Tim Donaghy was the only ref betting on games. I also believe that the league sends out directives for their officials to influence games for certain teams, stars, and agendas.

The replay center is a good idea and will maybe help officials to make the correct call in some situations, but will it help stop LeBron James from getting special treatment? Will it help when the refs call a game totally one sided, as some have been called? Will it help referees with an agenda for or against a particular player or team? Maybe Adam Silver's tenure will be better than David Stern's but I'm not going to bet on it.

Second is a video from the Celtics about how much more comfortable in the job Brad Stevens is in his second season with the Celtics. He has defined players' roles much more this season, a fact that most of the players seem to appreciate. They also know what he expects from them a bit more this season. There is more trust between players and coach this year and hopefully that will lead to more success on the court.

Finally, from OfficialCelticsHD, there are some highlights from Kelly Olynyk's game against the Nets on Wednesday. I have a few thoughts about Kelly that I will include in my next Random Thoughts. He's going to be a very unique player in this league. I'm hoping to see another great game from him against Dwight Howard and the Rockets tonight.
