Sometimes we take things for granted that we should embrace and enjoy. I think Rondo is one of those things and today's videos are to remind us of how good Rondo is. We have gotten so used to the trade rumors that sometimes Celtics fans fall into the trap of wanting to trade him. This game is from 2012 and they are talking about the trade rumors being a distraction. And they never stop. He's one of the best PG's in the league. He's a rare talent and Celtics fans should embrace that fact rather than the trade rumors. This first video is from a game with the Knicks at the height of the Linsanity craze. Rondo has an amazing Triple-Double with 18 points, 17 rebounds, and 20 assists. He's just so good. Last season he was never quite at 100% but be ready for a motivated Rondo who is physically back to full capacity.
Second is Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals in 2012 against the Miami Heat. Rondo finished this game with 44 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Not quite another triple double, but an awesome game from him. The Heat won this one, but it can't take away from the dominant game that Rondo put out. Here's a hint - Rondo CAN shoot!! And, he's one of the best rebounders from the point guard position in the league. How can anyone want to trade this guy?
Finally, to lighten up a bit, here are some of the funny moments from Rondo's tenure with the Celtics. There are also a couple of Kevin Garnett cameos that make me miss him even more.
