Comments from the Other Side - Mavericks 2/13/17

This was a fun game to watch.  The Celtics show that they are growing as a team in that when teams make their runs they eventually turn the tide back and win.  There for awhile if the other team made a run the Celtics folded.  Mavs fans were keeping a close watch on the Warriors/Nuggets game because they are both battling for the 8th playoff spot and they were very upset to see that the Warriors didn't much try to win that game.  Glad that the Celtics got the win for Jae and Marcus.  My favorites are in bold.  What are yours? 



This will be an incredibly tough game And a probable loss to the 2nd best team in the east…. When we really need to make this a win Isiah Thomas Is a beast- he SCoring 33 ppg on 47% in February. The last itme he played us, he put up 30, dropping 22 in the 4th. Not sure what to do against him. Don’t really have the personnel … put Wes on him the whole game and hope he’s physical enough to slow him?

It will be close for sure. I just fear the Little Man

He is not bothered by size May be we can bother him with Yogi’s quickness.

Meh Yogi will lock him down Irving and lillard are better players.. Yogi came out all right against them

Tough one ... This game is the one FEB game I marked as "sure loss"

Yogi made it tough on Irving and Lillard... In his first game against them, maybe he can do the same to Thomas. He is definitely quick enough but will Thomas’s superstar label cause the refs to call ticky tack fouls on him is the question?

We can take the smeltics they’re not all that..

Ferrell will need to be substituted pretty quickly because Thomas will make mincemeat out of Williams. Should be a good game though.

The Celtics are very thin at the wing with Bradley, Brown, and possibly Green out.

The Celtics aren't a good team.  We should beat them easily.  We didn't have Dirk or Deron when they beat us the first time.  They have no chance now especially with Bradley out.   

Yet we always seem to struggle against injury-plagued teams... Which scrub goes off for a career high tonight?

I'm interested to see if the Mavs can figure a way to at all put the brakes on Isaiah. I don't see why nobody can do anything about him, because he doesn't appear to me to be "all that". Maybe tonight I'll find out.cool

Hopefully Mavs can steal this one and gain some ground. If Boston wants to hand us a pick and we hand them Bogut at the same time that would be nice also.

Stopped liking that dude when he called out Dallas last year and said we play dirty and that Dirk is a big flopper. He said it last year after the Mavs beat em lol like dude really? You have Marcus smart on your team and calling out Dirk for flopping

Every time I see Jae Crowder, I am forced to remember who he was traded for. Still bitter.

I thought Seth could keep up with Thomas... Boy was I sadly mistaken.

I wouldn't mind if Dallas challenges Boston at a 3 point shooting game If the fast breaks are there.

How come it feels like the Mavs should be up in this game?

Well, Boston is the hottest team in the league. Everyone would have to play well to have a shot to win that. They blown out Utah the other night.

I guess the scrub to light us up tonight is Smart. Because he's Ray Allen tonight.

Refs let the Cetics get away with murder inside. First Yogi and then Devin. Just destroyed inside with no call. On the other end it's foul city inside.

I realize they are a good team, I was talking about the feel of the game. Usually when the Mavs are shooting over 50%, they have the lead. But the Celts are shooting over 60%.

How is he underrated TNT talks about him all the time, some even say he’s a top 5 player when he’s not, hes a great scorer and all but isnt that great

He wasn't getting any notice until this year though. He's been hella good for a long time just recently is he getting talked about.

Eh if Mavs lose because everyone but the Celtics coaches are hitting threes... Can’t really be mad.

He spoke towards the ref and the ref was a little bitch...

Nothing he got called for a offensive foul that wasn't a offensive foul and talked back to the ref and bam

Certainly not a foul on Deron. But, then again, now we won't have to watch him ineffectively pound the ball and turn it over in the second half!

How come LeBron, Curry, Russ, and KD do that all the time, and they don't get ejected

How do refs keep buying Marcus Smart's antics?..... Nvm I didn't just ask that in today's NBA.

Do the refs really hate Cuban that much? I don't know what else would account for the bias tonight.

But...But... He "intimidates" the refs for a competitive advantage. So says the Ref union.

Deron's ejection may be the best thing that happened in the first half

Deron is too slow under the basket. Too flat footed. His moves look like an offensive foul. I do not blame the refs tbh.

Trade Deron and Bogut. Both are useless. Deron plays like s***

Ref makes a horrible call.....player gets verbally upset about it.....ref gets upset about player being upset and double techs the player.... I miss the 80's.

I'm new to Mavs ball, do they even try to get rebounds on the offensive end? Or are they too cool?

Carlisle used to bench players for not hitting the O glass…he must be getting soft with the skinning of his head…his hair held all the rebounding gumption as a coach

Not being able to beat Boston doesn't mean the Mavs aren't a playoff team; it just suggests that they're probably not a very good playoff team.

Well like every game these days. I'm happy and sad at the end and looking for a drink.

I'll drive Powell to the airport if they find a trade partner. I really think he's a total waste of space. That's not an overreaction, he's wildly overpaid and isn't a very good player. I'd rather have his cap space to shop with this summer any day.

The out of this world better than wes superstar defender crowder just fouled out ...

this one was one of the two hardest games on our February schedule, so it is an acceptable loss. Too bad we were close to winning.

To be fair, the Celtics are actually one of the best teams in the East - if not the league - but this one is on Carlisle!

I have no faith in Powell. Mavs fans overrate him so much. Maybe they do it to feel better about the Rondo trade.

I am looking forward to ping pong balls, don't care how many, just want in the lottery.

Hate gsw even more now ... That's falsification of competition … they didn't even try … no star player played 30 minutes … 2nd round rookies with big minutes … you HAVE TO think they want den in the first playoff round … shame on you
