It does seem that this could go to the Celts(less new personnel, back to full strength, their offense provide problems for the somewhat streaky Spurs defense, man does it feel weird even writing that), however, Spurs got a semi-decent rest and we’re unbeatable on the road.
Their back-court is ahead of ours but our front court trumps theirs (with the exception of Pau vs Horford). I’m looking for Lamarcus to have a big game and Kawhi to abuse whoever is on him like he did against Charlotte because we’re on the road and Kawhi doesn’t seem to know how to miss on the road.
Why did the Kings traded Thomas?
The Celtics are a tough well rounded team and if we want to win this one dominating the paint will be the key to victory.

Boston are a tough match-up because they have many options to go small with Crowder at the 4 and Horford at center, plus they have many guys to throw at Kawhi. Would force Pau to the bench and would make sure the Spurs paint will be wide open for slashers. The more they're forced to play a big next to Horford the better for the Spurs, however their net rating with Horford and Johnson is surprisingly better than the small ball alternative. Small sample size, though.
This is going to be a tough game. Boston is like 6-2 in their last 8 and they are very balanced. In their last 3 losses 2 came to teams with premier guards (GS & WAS) and SA doesn't have that. They did lose to NO but that seemed to be a fluke. This should be a damn good game.
I really hope it's a good game, but the Spurs are always a bit lackluster during these noon games..
BOS is basically a poor mans SA. Very similar in a lot of ways statistically but where SA is clearly better is efficiency. BOS makes a healthy amount of 3's per game as a team at a respectable clip, but SA % is better. Just in general SA does everything more efficiently and gets to the line more than BOS.
Horford has a terrible looking shot.

LMA drives me crazy with his post-ups sometimes. Dude has a much smaller defender on him, posts up, dribbles a couple times, and then still passes out when there's no double-team.
LMA wants to be traded.
I'm almost done with Aldridge. I'm willing to give Pau more of a chance, but not Fatridge. He hasn't come into camp in shape twice in a row now. There's no dedication whatsoever. So why should he remain on the team?
Of course, their two best players have been on the bench during this run.

I don’t mind a little bit of homerism, but man, you’ve also got to have some objectivity or you lose all credibility.

Tommy Heinsohn is way too homer-ish. A little bit of bias is to be expected, but the dude can’t shut his mouth for 2 seconds about the officials and is wrong on half the calls.

BOS makes a lot of 3's per game. They don't shoot %wise as good as SA there, but they shoot very respectable number + a lot of makes per game. It's who they are.
