Comments from the Other Side - Utah SL Game 1 Sixers 7/4/16

Philly fans were understandably excited to see their number 1 pick in action after all that tanking to get him.  Lots of fun comments from them.  Not much love lost on the Celtics or their fans, though.  My favorites are in bold.  What are yours? 



Boston’s Brown has been talking smack since the draft that he should have been picked # 1 Time to put the kid in his place

I don't know why he seems that salty. I would understand the passion to prove yourself the best but he seems legit overdramatic

He’s had a chip on his shoulder re Ben since high school. Can’t accept Ben is simply better than him

He beat Ben last time they went head to head in Florida

So Excited I don’t need anymore Evan Turner getting swatted over and over or MCW bricking every shot in Summer League performances in my life though, so don’t do it to meeeeeeeeee Ben.

Both Philly and Boston have their first Euro taken playing. I’m not even going to try to pronounce the Celtics guy but he looks like a tank

This is a good challenge Celtics have one of the better summer league teams Loved how well Simmons stayed in front of a driving Jaylen brown forcing him to kick it out

Boston's summer league team has some size to them. Not necessarily height, but girth. They have 6 dudes over 230 pounds.

Pretty excited about summer league for the first time in a long time. Wanna see Luwawu light it up and Simmons abuse fools.

Can't wait to see Simmons tear it up. I'm sure they already engraved his name on the MVP trophy.

I always loved Rozier's physical tools. It's a shame they have no minutes to give him.

Brown hasn't looked very good so far.

Jaylen Brown can get to the line, alright. Probably his best NBA skill.

I don’t think Brown will have any problems getting to the rim, finishing will be another story. Still don’t understand why they took him.

Who did you want them to pick? I thought Bender would have been a good gamble.

I think bender was the easy choice for them at 3

I thought they would take Hield or Murray, somone who could contribute now. Brown just seems so raw.

Yea, you can tell he has a high ceiling with the length and athleticism, but he has a very low floor IMO.

He’s a major project. He’s got to learn how to do something well. I didn’t like him at Cal at all. He was the third or fourth best player on that team.

Celtics doesn't need KD with the way they are shooting. LOL

Rozier, Hunter and Young get no minutes on their squad so it don't even matter lol.

Not a great few weeks for them. Miss out on #1, miss out on Durant. But they get a consolation prize in Horford who is good, but not star caliber. Settling for second tier at its finest. But that's what Boston does. #CityOfLosers

He is going to be a good player He was te right pick at #3 even tho a lot of fools in the media treated it like some big reach…, he was the right pick, but he will need a few years to develop The most NBA ready player isn’t always the best pick

Not sure why everybody is dis and Jaylen Brown he doesn’t look terrible yes I hand when he could get to the room strong I don’t want Boston to have picked a good player either but I’m not seeing the bust part

Yep. We only have 4 actual players on this roster.

And yet I’m watching Boston’s Summer Leaguers knock-down open threes.

Most of those guys are first round picks. Part of the problem are these guys don’t know RJ. Crowd the three, go over the top on screens

These Celtics players are soft as ****.

Half of Boston’s team is made up of draft picks and "NBA players" (at least in an NBA system for a year).

Jaylen Brown has been pretty active. He looks a lot better than I expected him to (still not a good player, though).

I like Browns gusto. But because he is on Boston he is a punk now
