Congratulations Isaiah Thomas - EC Player of the Week!

It didn't take long for Isaiah Thomas to make his mark on the Celtics and on the Eastern Conference. Thomas averaged 22 points, 6.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds this past week and he led the Celtics to a 3-1 record. And the Celtics came close to winning two others as well. They came close to winning his first game with the Celtics against the Lakers. If he wasn't wrongly ejected, they more than likely would have won that one. And, they came very close to beating the league-leading Warriors on Sunday.

His stats for his first 4 games with his new team are as follows:
Celtics 115, Suns 21 PTS, 7 AST, 1 REB, 1 STL
Celtics 115, Knicks 19 PTS, 7 AST, 6 REB
Celtics 106, Hornets 28 PTS, 7 AST, 1 REB, 1 STL
Warriors 106, Celtics 101: 20 PTS, 5 AST, 2 REB

Congratulations to Isaiah for earning the honor in his first week with the Celtics and we're looking for many more to come. Brad Stevens had been nominated for Eastern Conference Coach of the Week, but was edged out by Indiana's Frank Vogel. Stevens posted his first winning month as Celtics coach as he went 7-4 for the month of February. I'm expecting many more awards for him as well.
