Today's Video: Larry Bird Now and Then, Jared Sullinger

The first video today is an interview with Larry Bird on ESPN's Hangtime Bus. Larry talks about his plans for the Pacers as well as the improvements that the Bulls made in the off season. He also reminisces a little with Rick Fox about their playing days together on the Celtics. He talks about the difference between today's teams and the the super teams that the Celtics put together when he was playing. He also talks about the Cavs' coat tail guys.

The second video shows why every Celtics fan should love Larry Bird. Simply put, he was the best. Whether it was shooting long distance, post up, or anywhere in between, or rebounding, or passing, Bird was the best. If you never got to watch Bird play, you owe it to yourself to look of footage of his games. He was one of a kind and I can't say it any better than to simply say that he was the best. I have a few video tapes of some games I saved from the Bird era and I watch them and just am amazed at how good he was. Enjoy this highlight mix of the incomparable Larry Bird.

Finally, back to the present. Jared Sullinger is poised for a breakout season. He has the talent, the tools and the work ethic to be a very good player and rack up double doubles every night. Here is a highlight video of a 25 Point 20 Rebound game versus the Raptors from January of 2014. Personally, I'd much rather see him playing inside than hoisting up shots from beyond the arc, but it seems that Brad Stevens is happy with his 3 point shooting.  This kid is capable of great things and I believe that this is just a taste of what we will see from him in the coming years.
