I don't plan to watch all the playoff games but do plan to watch the Nets and cheer for them. Today, it was great to watch Paul Pierce go into playoff mode. He has a way of coming up big in the clutch. Watching him, I was once again sad that it couldn't have ended differently in Boston.
I know that for the Celtics to get a jump on rebuilding and to avoid another 22 year drought like they had between the 1986 and 2008 championships, Danny had to make that trade. But I'm old school and loved seeing the players start and end their careers in Boston back in the old days. I love that Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett have a chance to play for another ring but it's still sad that they couldn't do it in Boston.
The Raptors were making a big deal about their age as you can see from the photo of the Toronto Sun above. "Garnett and Pierce are so old that the Raptor had to ask his dad about them." I guess they learned one thing today. Don't make fun of the OG's (Old Guys) or they will make you look pretty silly. Pierce still has a lot of basketball left in him and both KG and Pierce came up big in the 4th quarter to give the Nets the win.
