5 Things Celtics must do to win tonight - Spurs 2/12

Now that the Celtics have won four out of their last five games and, for the first time in a while, seem to have found some legitimate momentum, I gotta say that I can't think of a better time to have this contest. The Spurs, of course, are still pretty good, but the Celts have been alright lately too, wouldn't you say so? So yea, this one could be interesting. I don't think the C's will win it, but I definitely think they'll make it close. Here's tonight's five things:

5. EXTEND POSSESIONS:
Monday in Detroit, the Spurs lost to the Pistons in a game they were out-rebounded on the offensive boards in, 18-8. So yea, it's kinda obvious what I'm trying to say here. The Celts gotta try to extend their possessions in this one.

4. TRY NOT TO FOUL TOO OFTEN:
In that same game, the Spurs also took just 11 free throws, which made the fact that they made 9 of them pretty irrelevant. So yea, the point here is again obvious. The C's gotta try to avoid fouling tonight.

3. STOP LETTING BAYLESS SHOOT:
I never had faith in Jerryd Bayless' shooting ability, and I was apparently right not to on Monday, when the former-Grizzly shot just 2/10 from the field. Now of course, he could turn it around at any time, but I'd rather he just stop shooting the ball. Because really, Chris Johnson should be the one getting more attempts, and we all know why. He's part of the team's future, Bayless isn't.

2. GET A BIG GAME FROM GREEN:
The Spurs are one of the best teams in the league, so this one and the next one are extremly easy to comprehend. If Jeff Green is terrible tonight, the Celts'll lose. Simple.

1. GET A BIG GAME FROM RONDO:
Again, really easy to understand here. Rajon Rondo's been kinda inconsistent recently, so he's gotta try to not be in this one. Because, like with Green, him struggling would screw the team.

So yea, this one'll tip-off tonight at 7:30 pm ET. You can see it on CSN New England and FSN Southwest. Enjoy it.
