Today, the Celtics had their win streak snapped with a 91-79 loss to the OKC Thunder. This Thunder team has only lost at home four times all year, so I knew that this one would be tough. The Thunder led this game pretty much the whole way with the Celtics occasionally making failed comebacks. Pierce led the C's with 20 points on 6/12 shooting. Besides him, nobody else showed up.
Today's USOTN goes to Boston's poor shooting. Just a few nights ago against the Hawks, the Celtics won shooting 51.3% from the field. Today, that was reduced to just 37.7%. This was the main reason why they lost. Against OKC, there is so little room for error.
In my opinion, this loss was inevitable. I literally had no hope that they would win today and it looks like I was right. The Thunder are just too good at home. At least now, the Celtics can have a few easy games for a change. That should be fun.
