Well, the Celtics just continue to amaze us with their effort. Tonight, they blew a double-digit halftime lead and lost at the buzzer to the future-Pelicans. I'm fed up. No more defending these losers. They need to start doing their jobs.
Tonight's USOTN goes to the fact that the C's led by 3 with just under a minute left. How do you blow that lead to the Hornets? The Hornets aren't a title team, they're a bottom feeder. You have to commit to winning every game. Right now, the Celtics are not doing that.
Like I said, I'm done with this team. All I do is defend them. The truth is, they don't deserve to have fans on their side. They don't try. They're aren't just losing, they're handing the other team a free win on a golden platter. Hell, I probably put up more effort writing this post than the Celtics did in tonight's last minute.
I'll put some of this on Doc along with the players. Only 8 guys played. Doc should have tried TWill, and White to give guys more rest. Also, he left Crawford in too long. He was dribbling too much and taking rushed shots to beat the clock. Finally, as much as I love Pierce, the time for his iso's at the end should be past. They are expected and too well defended.
And the players settled for too many jumpers. NOTHING to the hoop in the 4th. Being outrebounded 45-28 is inexcusable and shows lack of effort. Bench gave us nothing and were outscored by a terrible NOH bench 39-17
I couldn't agree more - this team seems to not care enough to work hard for 4 quarters in order to earn a win. They seem to want to coast and still have success. They would never say so publicly, but that is what their performance on the court indicates. They think they could "flip the switch" when they need to, but for four going on five years that approach has not worked and never will.
