Tonight, the Celtics will the play the final game of their three game home stand when they host the red hot Miami Heat. As you probably know, the Heat are currently riding a 22 game win streak with the media at their backs. On the other hand, the Celtics have won their last two games over the Raptors and Bobcats, with the win over Charlotte coming without KG. According to 10,000 computer simulations, the Heat have just a 34% of continuing their streak tonight. Let's hope the computers are right. Here are the five things:
5. HAVE WILCOX STEP UP:
As horrifying as it sounds, there is a chance that Kevin Garnett won't play tonight. If this happens, the C's will really need Chris Wilcox to step up and fill the void.
4. GET GREEN SOME MORE SHOTS:
Against Charlotte, Jeff Green scored just 10 points on 5/9 shooting. If they're going to win this one, they will need around 15-20 points out of this guy. They need him at his very best.
3. DRAW FOULS:
The Celtics haven't really had a free throw problem at all recently, but getting a few more foul shots wouldn't hurt anything. Try to avoid taking fade-aways and lean in when you're in the paint.
2. GIVE TERRY PLENTY OF OPEN SHOTS:
When Jason Terry is open, he rarely misses. Against the Bobcats, Terry shot a perfect, 3/3 from behind the arch. If he has a good shot in shootaround, make him one of your top scorers.
1. REBOUND:
All season, the Celtics have been a pretty solid rebounding team. But tonight, they'll have to dominate. No second chance points for Miami. If they allow 3 shots on every defensive possession, they will lose by 40.
Tip-off for tonight's game will be at 8:00 pm ET. You can see it on ESPN.
