The Celtics, despite putting up a pretty good fight, lost tonight in Denver by the score of 97-90. They didn't go down easily and I believe that they deserved to win this game. But it is what is. Nothing we can do about it. Luckily we should be over it by tomorrow night.
Tonight's USOTN goes to the horrible shooting performance of Paul Pierce. Pierce had a decent 10 points, but shot a horrendous 2/14 from the field. This has become a recurring theme for him, one that we all wish didn't exist. I think that it's time that he either plays less or gets less shots. If they don't do that, they have to do something. This is getting ridiculous.
Tomorrow night the Celtics will visit their arch-rival Lakers. I expect them to win the game easily. They played pretty good today against a much better team. If they play like this tomorrow, they will definitely win. I'm sure most of you guys would agree with me on that.
I have to think Pierce is still bothered by the pinched nerve they said he had before the break. That's just very un-Pierce like.
I still think the bigger stat is 36 free throws for the Nuggets and 16 for the Celtics. They got lots of home cooking.
