Tonight, the Celtics finally won a road game over a good team. With tonight's 110-107 victory, the Celtics improved to 30-27 overall and just 2.5 games behind the Chicago Bulls for sixth place in the eastern conference. Going into tonight, I expected an easy win for the Jazz. But from the beginning, the Celtics showed that they had come to play. The Jazz got nothing easy tonight and the Celtics definitely deserved this one.
Tonight's USOTN goes to three people. Those three are Lee, KG, and Terry. These three each played terrific and there is no way that the C's would've won without them. Lee had 14 points on 4/8 shooting, Terry also had 14 on 5/13 shooting, and Garnett scored 13 on 5/9 shooting. This is just mine, but I'd like to hear yours for tonight's game. You know where the comment box is.
In my final Live Game Updates paragraph tonight, I mentioned that the officiating seemed to struggle in the fourth quarter. Actually, they didn't struggle, they just didn't know what a foul was. The Celtics would have to get hacked in order to get to the line while a stroke of the jersey was an easy two shots for Utah. In many situations, the Jazz would have the ball down by 2. Their guy(usually PG Gordon Hayward) would just throw up some stupid shot or turn the ball over and it was always called a foul. For most of the fourth quarter, the Celtics would be in foul trouble and the refs constantly giving the Jazz a free two points didn't help at all. But, it doesn't matter. We won. Now if I had said this after a loss, I'd be called a sore loser. But, like I just said, we won. Time for me to shut up.
