6:30: Tonight, the Celtics will head north to visit the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors are just 17-31 and currently on a 1-game losing streak. On the other hand, the Celtics are 4-0 since Rondo went down and 24-23 overall. I'm not gonna complain about four straight wins, but I do have to point out that they were all at home, where the C's are 17-9. On the road, they are a dismal 7-14. And their opponent, the Raptors, are a solid 12-12 at home. I think that that gives the Raptors a slight advantage, but I won't be too drastic. We'll just have to see. Remember, if you can't watch the game then check here at CG after each quarter. I'll be updating.
8:16: The Celtics played solid in the first half of this ball game. They struggled in the first quarter, being outscored 23-20. But they bounced back in the second and outscored the Raptors 30-22 to take a 50-45 lead. KG currently leads the C's with 14 points, followed by Lee with 11 and Pierce with 10. The Raptors are currently led by Andrea Bargnani who has 11. Rudy Gay, in his first game against Boston in a Toronto uniform, has 10 points.
8:59: The Celtics didn't try in the third quarter. The Raptors scored at will and now lead after the third, 79-69. Garnett still leads the C's with 16 points. Following him are Lee with 13 and Bradley with 11. The Raptors are led by Rudy Gay with 23, Bargnani with 13, and DeRozan with 13.
9:36: The Celtics, after their dreadful third quarter, rallied late to escape Toronto with a 99-95 victory. The win marks their fifth consecutive, all coming without Rondo. They are now 25-23 overall and, if the Bucks lose tonight in Utah, will be tied for the seventh seed in the eastern conference. Tonight's player of the game was easily Kevin Garnett, who had a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Lee, Barbosa, Bradley, and Pierce all scored in double-digits with big shots in a fourth quarter where Boston out-scored the Raptors 30-16. Stay here at CG, post game and USOTN coming soon.
