The Celtics, the frustrating Boston Celtics, finally won a game last night when they blew out the Pacers, 94-75. Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett each put up 18, while Paul Pierce and Courtney Lee had 13. The Celtics finally started rebounding, and overcame a first quarter deficit. They dominated to the point where they could jog for the last few minutes. There were plenty of stats that didn't get enough credit, but here's the one that I picked:
Yesterday's USOTN goes to the rebounding performance of Jared Sullinger. Sully was a beast in college and continues that during his NBA career. He only had 7 points, but led the team with 10 rebounds. Due to the win being a blow out, he didn't get much credit for this. If you have a USOTN that you think should've been picked, tell me. There's a comment box.
With the win and a 76ers loss, the Celtics are now back into the eastern conference's 8 seed. So I guess you can call them a playoff team. Let's hope they ride this momentum into Atlanta tonight when they visit the Hawks. Tip-off will be at 7:00 pm ET. I will again be doing my live game updates.
