I love Tommy. I hope he never retires. While other teams' fans complain about him being a homer, I just love listening to him. He's loving what Avery Bradley has brought to the team with his return. He describes Avery as a bee. I kind of think he's more like a cross between a bee and a pit bull.
The Celtics haven't had a player like Sully in the low post in a long time. I love the kid. It's fun reading the comments from other fans bemoaning the fact that their team could have had Sully and passed on him.
With Bradley's return, Everyone has started to play better. I think it's part Bradley's energy and part the fact that now roles are more defined. Courtney Lee has been playing great and so has Jeff Green. Jet is hustling but still struggling some with his shot. But, it's all coming together.
Some of Sully's offensive rebounds and put backs got me to say "Wow" as well. I was talking with my husband about the things that we were seeing Sully do out there and we finally just said "Wow! Sully's doing stuff." He just does stuff. Lots of stuff. Tommy also noticed Sully out there "Doing Stuff." I love this kid.
Tommy was amazingly restrained about the officials considering that they had 14 free throws before the Celtics got even one. Even the Houston fans had to admit that the refs were giving them a bit of help. He did get a bit vocal after a few more ridiculous calls, but all in all he did very well to restrain himself.
And for all the stuff he did in tonight's game, Sully gets the Tommy Award. I have a very good feeling it's not going to be his last. This kid can play!
