As you might imagine with some of the bad calls last night, Tommy was fairly upset with the officiating. But then again, when I saw Marc Davis calling a Bulls game that we'd be in for a long night. We've know since that 2009 series that he and all of his family are Bulls fans. He's also given the Celtics fits ever since. Tommy's first tweet during the game was about a terrible call on KG.
In every game, Tommy talks about 2 things: the need to run and the need to take the ball to the hoop. Maybe Doc should have Tommy in for a guest speaker because he is spot on with both of those. When the Celtics run and when they go to the hoop instead of jumpers all game, they are tough to beat.
Tommy, like all Celtics fans, are intrigued by the potential that Jeff Green has. But time and time again, we find ourselves saying "if only". We're all waiting for consistency from him.
And, of course there were more complaints about the terrible officiating. He didn't tweet about that horrible jump ball call and failure to recognize Rondo calling a time out in Davis' face. I'm thinking either they were restraining him at the moment or reviving him. That call was not just bad, it was criminal. When Hubie Brown is talking about how bad a call is, you know that it was a terrible call.
Rondo had a great game as did Courtney Lee and Sully. Sullinger is the real deal and he seems to get better with every game. Hopefully, the refs will eventually stop calling the ticky tack and phantom fouls on him and let him play. For his 7 point 15 rebound effort in this game, he gets the Tommy Award.
