The Red Claws will be playing without their floor leader Wednesday when they face the Idaho Stampede. Shelvin Mack, who averaged 20.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 7.1 assists, and 1.3 steals in 10 games for the Red Claws this season, has been called up by the Washington Wizards.
Mack was drafted by the Wizards in the second round of the 2011 NBA draft but he was released before the start of this season. The contract is non-guaranteed. The Red Claws will certainly miss Mack's leadership on the court but that's the nature of the D-League.
