Congratulations to Shelvin Mack of the Red Claws for being named D-League Player of the Week. Mack, a 6'3" point guard, led the Red Claws to a 3-0 record for the week, averaging 22.3 points, 7.3 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 41.3 minutes. The photo above is of Mack in the Red Claws first home game where they wore Celtics uniforms in tribute to their connection with the Celtics.
Mack was originally drafted 34th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards. He played in 64 games for Washington last season averaging 3.6 points, 2.0 assists, 1.4 rebounds in 12.2 minutes per game.
"He's our the floor general," Celtics rookie Kris Joseph had to say of the Red Claws point guard. "(Mack) does a great job of getting guys involved, especially guys he feels should be more aggressive. He gets the guys in good situations to score."
