On Sunday afternoon, the Maine Red Claws dropped their second straight game at home after winning their first 2 on the road. Celtics Rookie Kris Joseph returned to the Red Claws after a brief stint with the parent club during Rondo's suspension.
The Red Claws were able to stay with the Sioux Falls Skyforce through three quarters, but a 16-5 run to open the fourth quarter helped to put the game out of reach for the home team. The Skyforce won the game 98-87 to improve their record to 3-0 while the Red Claws dropped to 2-2.
Joseph didn't get back from the game in Milwaukee until 2:30 AM and then turned around and made the trip to Maine early in the morning to rejoin the Red Claws. He finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. The Celtics other rookie on assignment was followed throughout the day by an NBA-TV crew who were taping a segment of Rooks. Fab finished with 4 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block. Micah Downs, who was the final cut from the Celtics in training camp, led the Red Claws with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals.
The Red Claws will head to Erie to take on the BayHawks on Thursday before returning to Maine for a two-game homestand next weekend, Saturday vs. the Fort Wayne Mad Ants at 7 PM and Sunday vs. the Canton Charge at 5 PM. You can watch all of the games live by going to the Red Claws website.
