Chris Wilcox didn't play against the Bucks and today we learned that he will be out 3-4 weeks with an ulnar collateral sprain in his right thumb. The injury happened when he attempted to brace his fall in the Chicago game on Tuesday.
The Celtics were already thin at center after the departure of Darko Milicic for Serbia. Now with Wilcox out, thin doesn't seem adequate to describe the lack of height and depth at the center position.
#Celtics coach Doc Rivers: We need another big with Chris (Wilcox) being out. But that doesn't mean we're going to get another big.

The obvious fix might be to recall Fab Melo fresh off his monster triple double with the Red Claws. But Doc quickly dismissed that idea saying, "I haven't talked to anyone that thinks he's ready to come up yet."
Doc also said that he likes the lineup with Collins at center and KG at power forward, but he added that there could be nights when he starts Bass at power forward and KG at center, depending on matchups.
