The Celtics, just two days after getting blown out by the Nets, went out and returned the favor the to Blazers tonight with a 96-78 win. No Rajon Rondo tonight, but we can all agree that Leandro Barbosa replaced him nicely. Jeff Green led all Boston players with 19 points on 6/13 shooting off the bench. I don't understand him at all, but either way he's fun to watch. In his last four games, Green has had 17 points, 1 point, 2 points, and now 19 points. He could be more consistent, but it's good enough for me as long as they win the game.
Tonight's underrated stat of the night goes to the performance of Jared Sullinger, who had 9 points and 8 rebounds in the victory. I just gotta ask the world why they don't notice him. He seems to get better every day, but all the media cares about is Jeff Green.
Sullinger plays his heart out every night and his performances show it. While the world doesn't notice him, Doc Rivers does. Sullinger played 31 minutes tonight, only Courtney Lee played more with 36.
Tonight seemed like another situation where Green showed his ability to dominate. He's only done it twice all season(last Friday and tonight), but I expect him to get much better as the season progresses. We, as Celtics fans, just need to be patient.
