This was Tommy's first tweet of the night and it was pretty much apropos for what would go on in this game.
As always, Tommy hit the nail on the head with the defensive rebounding. They continue to get crushed on the glass. I don't think he meant to turn Rondo loose the way they did though.
This was when Doc got the technical called on him early in the game. Mike later clarified that Doc was calling out something to Rondo and the ref gave him a T for it. We should have known it was going to be one of those games at this point.
This comment cuts to the whole problem last night. The Nets were allowed to foul, grab, push and otherwise be physical with no fouls called. The Celtics weren't. The 17-5 free throw disparity shows this. And 3 of the 5 Celtics free throws were from technicals.
Back when Tommy played, fights were a regular occurrence. And you did want the player on your team who would have your back. Tommy's right. This was old school.
And again, Tommy was right in a way. They called the game a lot closer in the second half and the Nets weren't allowed to get away with assault and battery like they were in the first half. There weren't quite 62 free throws, but the refs did finally do their job and called some fouls on the Nets.
Courtney Lee continues to struggle to find his complete game but I like his hustle and I think it's coming. His hustle got him a Tommy Point last night.
The Celtics as a team got no respect from the refs last night. I hate to say it, but Pierce looked old last night. Hopefully it was just a one game thing. The second tweet was on Joe Johnson's ankle breaking move on Pierce that wasn't pretty from a Celtics point of view.
This is my favorite tweet from Tommy last night. I'm with him. I didn't see it that way either.
And finally, the Tommy Award winner. KG continues to get it done in spite of the minutes limit put on him.
