Avery Bradley had a break out season in last year's lockout shortened season. But his season ended prematurely when he had season ending surgery on his shoulder. Let me say this. Bradley is a tough kid. It was tough watching him get up time after time and pop his shoulder back into place and go back out on the court to tough it out in games. But it got to the point where they had to consider what was better for his career and not just that season.

Fast forward to now and Avery is rehabbing from not one, but two shoulder surgeries. Jessica Camerato has a great article on CSNNE covering Avery's rehab. Avery hasn't been able to do any shooting or physical work until recently and so he has concentrated on the mental side of the game. He has followed Rondo's lead and has been watching a lot of game film.

Soon he began seeing the court differently, comparing the realization to solving a Magic Eye puzzle. By shifting the way he watched the action, he opened his eyes to a completely different point of view.

"There were some of those things (head coach) Doc (Rivers) would yell at us about," Bradley said. "[He would] look at us like, 'Are you serious? You don't see that? You don't see what I see?' We'd be like, 'No, we don't.'

"Now I see those things and I look at people that way, like, 'Why aren't you doing things that way?' I look at the game completely different, it's weird. It's like once you know the plays and you feel comfortable, you know all the other teams' sets, it's like you know everything and it's just easier. I know Paul (Pierce) and them can say the same thing, too."

And now that he can start working on his game again, he's determined to come back better than ever. We see him working on his shot at practices and before games. He's hoping to begin full contact practices in mid December.

"I want to be a stronger ball handler," he said. "I've been working on that a lot. I want to be a consistent shooter. I want to improve my defense -- I want to be great at team defense. Those are my main focuses right now. I just want to learn the game."

And Celtics fans can't wait to see him back out on the court.
