The Celtics
announced yesterday that they picked up the option on Avery Bradley's contract for the 2013-2014 NBA Season. This would seem an obvious move since Bradley had a break out season last year, moving into the starting lineup until shoulder injuries forced him out of action in the playoffs. He has emerged as one of the best on the ball defenders in the league.
Bradley averaged 7.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 21.4 minutes of play over 64 games last season. He shot 49.8% from the field and 40.7% from beyond the arc. Bradley is expected to return from dual shoulder surgeries some time in December and will more then likely return to the starting lineup when he does.
