Remember the story about how in 2007, the day before the Celtics were scheduled to head to Rome for training camp, Doc called new teammates Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce and told them to be at his apartment at 8am the next morning. He wanted them to start thinking about a parade in June and he figured that a duck boat tour would be the best way to do that. As the tour guide took the four of them through Boston's historic streets and the Charles River, it slowly began to sink in that this wasn't just an ordinary ride. Doc took his players through the same Championship parade route used by the Red Sox and Patriots, and preached to them about the sacrifices it would take for them to follow suit. This would be motivation that would stay with the 3 stars throughout that championship season.
Well, here we are again. Today Jeff Green, Jason Terry, Dionte Christmas, Jared Sullinger and Kris Joseph, along with some kids took the duck boat tour. Jason Terry acted as the tour guide, which is pretty funny because he's just as new to Boston as the rest of them. But, if there's leading to be done, Jet is going to do it. They tweeted photos of their trip as it went along.
