Jessica Camerato has a great interview with Celtics rookie, Jared Sullinger in her Beyond the Arc series over on CSNNE. In the interview he reveals that Craig Brackens gave him the nickname "Smokey the Swag Bear" during Summer League. He's not really sure where that name came from but seems to like it, and would name his signature shoes Swag Bears. Not sure if the nickname will stick, but Swag Bear seems like a really cool nickname that might hang around.
Another thing that stood out to me in the interview was this quote.
“You’ve got to hate losing more than you love winning,” he said. “So that’s the motto that I live by.”
I can see that he and KG will get along just fine as KG hates losing more than just about anything also. Now would be a good time to watch this I Hate to Lose KG mix and remember that no matter who else the Celtics signed this season, KG is the heart of this team. And.... he hates to lose!
