According to Paul Flannery on Twitter, the Celtics have re-signed Keyon Dooling to a one year deal, most likely at the vet minimum. This makes a lot of sense. Although Jason Terry can play some point on the second unit, this gives the Celtics a second pure point guard as insurance against possible injuries.
Also, Dooling is a great locker room guy. He occupied the locker next to Rondo last season and the two bonded as Dooling took the younger point guard under his wing. Perhaps Dooling's influence helped in Rondo's maturation process. Speaking fluent Rondo is a rare trait and Dooling seems to have it down. Solid signing and should pay dividends both on and off the court.
