Well, this wasn't fun.    As with fans of most opponents, Heat fans are very happy that Danny traded Perk.  The fact that opponents are rejoicing over not having to face Perk any more speaks volumes.  But the comment about the Perk trade being the reason Rondo was playing so poorly may be a bit off.  It probably has more to do with the fact that he was seen leaving a South Beach club at 2 am.   Lots of complaints about the refs, but they got more free throws and I could point out a whole lot more bad calls they made on the Celtics.  Of course there is the Pierce wheelchair reference.  Had to get that one in.  At least the Celtics played well to start and then fell asleep.  I do agree with them that Danny made a huge mistake when he traded Perk, regardless of if Shaq comes back or not. 


Wade+Bron+Bosh will combine for 100 points for the first time this season in this game...

Call me crazy but I believe we will win this game.

The Heat gotta get this. I'm not just talking about seeding. The heat gotta see how they fair up against the new C's

Boston doesn't care they'll let you guys take this one with no fight! This will be a blowout!

A few things have changed since last time....first off spo is actually running plays that work and 2nd....since the Perkins trade I honestly think that our centers r better then thiers.

This is the 4th and final meeting between these two teams this season.  The Celtics have won all 3 of the previous games.  All 3 games were fairly close and got closer as the year went on with wins of 8 points, 5 points, and 3 points.   The Heat would desperately love to get a win in this game, not only for the second seed, but for pride.

These two teams are tied for the second seed in the East.  With the top spot all sewed up by the Bulls, both of these teams would like to nail down the second seed and a win in this game would pretty much do that for the Celtics and put them a game up on Miami.  The second seed would give the Celtics home court in at least the first 2 rounds and would also give them the easier path to the conference finals so this will be a very important game.  The Celtics need to play focused and play with energy.  

Shaq has been ruled out of this game and Jermaine will probably get the start.   The Celtics had Shaq in the middle for their first two games against the Heat and Perk was there for the 3rd game.  Hopefully JO is sufficiently motivated by his day of rest and playing against his old team to give the Celtics a big game, especially on the boards and on defense. 

The Celtics need to get off to a fast start.  The Heat are 41-8 when they lead after the first quarter and are just 12-13 when trailing after the first quarter.  The Celtics can't afford to come out sluggish and hope to turn it on later.   They have to play with energy from start to finish.

The Celtics are just 5-5 in their last 10 games while the Heat are playing much better and are 8-2 in their last 10.  The Celtics are 23-16 on the road while the Heat are 29-11 at home.  Both teams are looking for their second straight win.

The Celtics have proved that they can beat the Heat both in Boston and in Miami.  They have done a lot of talking about wanting the second seed and wanting to go into the playoffs playing well.  Hopefully they come out and back up their words with strong team play.
