Comments From the Other Side - Thunder 11/19

These are definitely more fun to gather when we win. The Thunder boards aren't very active so there weren't a lot of posts but maybe that was good with the way the Celtics played last night.
I would love to see a defensive battle with us prevailing in a close game
No KD, No Problem! Westbrook goes off tonight with 45 points! Moving him to the top for All-Star voting!
I love my Thunder, but dont look for them to pull this one off without KD.
Most of you guys are being way too pessimistic about this game, I don't know I got a good feeling, I don't think it could be worse than the first game against the Celtics
The Celtics have a very effective second five of West, Robinson, Daniels, Big Baby, and Semih Erden. This allows them to play two independent units, and rest their starters quite a bit. West's return not only improves the bench, it makes their starters more dangerous per minute. Shaq's been great- looking much better than he did in Phoenix or Cleveland.

Thunder Rolls Into Garden Looking to Avenge Loss
by FLCeltsFan 9:34 AM
Oklahoma City Thunder (7-4) at Boston Celtics (9-2)
Friday, November 18
7:00 PM ET
Game #12, Home Game #6
TV: ESPN, CSNNE, FSOK
Radio: ESPNR, WEEI, WWLS
TD Garden Referees: Joe Crawford, Pat Fraher, Mark Linsday
The last time the Oklahoma City Thunder played in Boston, they left Kevin Garnett scratching his head over Durant's star treatment. In that game, Durant shot 15 free throws while the Celtics, as a team, shot just 17 free throws for the game. The Thunder continue to be among the favorites for getting the whistles but hopefully that won't be the story tonight.
These two teams met just over a week ago with the Celtics coming away with a win in their first game on the recent road trip. The Thunder will be looking to avenge that loss while the Celtics are looking to keep their perfect home win record intact. The Thunder have been a decent road team with a 3-1 record while the Celtics have been a dominant 5-0 at home. Read more »

Comments From the Other Side - Heat 11/18
by FLCeltsFan 9:57 AM
I'm always amazed by the number of fans are so down on their own players. While Hinrich was busy trying to keep them in the game, the fans were trashing him. Interesting mix of fans who were confident of a win and fans who had no hope of the Wizards pulling it out. Some fun comments in this edition of Comments from the Other Side. Enjoy....
We win this by 15+.
A Match-up nightmare for us, how do you counter? We may use all of our front court guys tonight.
We're going to get killed. I'm sorry, I try to be positive, but this is like the Orlando game where you know you don't stand a chance.
We'll get creamed tonight. Flip knows it too, that's why he played Gil and Hinrich deep into the fourth quarter last night - better to give Gil some more confidence and swagger than to rest him for tonight, since we're gonna get killed anyways. We have no answer for Rondo or any interior scorer - we won't have an answer for big baby let alone Shaq.
When has Boston ever blown us out of the water?? Bad as we are, we've always given them hell. We match up very well with them.
Wizards will blow them out just like they did the Raps last night. Mark my words. We match up with this team well and Blatche gives KG fits.
Blatche goes for upwards of 30/10. Book it.

Celtics Host Wizards, Look to Stay Perfect at Home
by FLCeltsFan 9:54 AM
Washington Wizards (3-6) at Boston Celtics (8-2)
Wednesday, November 17
7:30 PM ET
Game #11, Road Game #5
TV: CSNNE, Comcast Sportsnet, NBA-LP 752/753
Radio: WEEI, WJFK
TD Garden
Referees: Ken Mauer, Kane Fitzgerald, Courtney Kirkland
The Celtics return home after a tough but successful road trip hoping to keep their unbeaten streak at the Garden intact. The story of this game will be the long awaited debut of Delonte West. Hopefully he fits in with the bench seamlessly and gives the team a boost on both ends of the court. In the long run, his presence should give both Ray and Rondo a little more rest.
John Wall, the first pick in last year's draft is leading all rookies in scoring and assists He also is first in the league in steals. But he has been inconsistent. In 2 losses to Cleveland and NY, He had 15 turnovers and just 9 field goals but in a win over Houston he put up 19 points, 13 assists, 6 steals and just 1 turnover. He missed last night's game against the Raptors but did travel with the team to Boston and will likely be a game time decision for tonight's game. In his absence, Gilbert Arenas got the start and scored 20 points with seven rebounds and six assists.
On the Celtics side, Marquis Daniels has been away from the team due to a family situation and is questionable for this game. Doc has mentioned that we might see some Delonte at small forward and more than likely we'll see Pierce play more minutes if Quisy isn't available.
The Celtics have had 3 days off after their road trip and should be rested and raring to go. The Wizards are playing in the second of back to back games, having hosted the Raptors the night before. The Celtics are 4-0 at home while the Wizards are 0-4 on the road. This should be an easy win, but it could just as easily be a trap game if they don't take the Wizards seriously and come to play. Comments From the Other Side - Grizzlies 11/13
by FLCeltsFan 2:50 PM
I'm always amazed when fans turn on their own team after a loss. The Grizzlies have a very good young team and they played very well last night. The Grizzlies played hard and never gave up, but yet there were fans ready to dump the whole team and start over. Although I think more fans were upset by the number of Celtics fans in the stands than they were about the loss. I thought the best comment was questioning whether Ray was human. Enjoy today's Comments from the Other Side...
Celtics lost in Dallas and they can lose in Memphis. Welcome Erden to the league Gasol. Conley can showcase to the NBA by outplaying Rondo.
I think we will beat them. Depends on if Oj and Henry can hold Allen....and if COnley can keep up with Rondo.
I think this will be a loss, mainly because the C's have a very productive bench. However, I think we'll make this a competitive game. Like last year's game. Hopefully the Griz will prove me wrong and get a W.
