Comments from the Other Side Magic Game 6 5/28
by FLCeltsFan 10:30 AM
We got this, game by game homies
It all comes down to the officiating.
It's going to be the toughest game in the comeback. They're feeling desperate and know they can't afford to go back to Orlando for game 7.
I don't think Rivers cares if Davis is well or not. He only wants to win at all costs. Look what Rivers did- leaving him on the floor injuried and yelling for him to get up.
I am concerned about SVG's coaching tonight more than anything else. I am sure Celtics are going to make adjustments on Nelson. I am afraid that SVG is so stubborn and slow to react, it might cost us the game. I am also worried about Carter and his terrible play for this entire series.
Most important game.. If we can take this one, we take it all.
I say Celtics will fight hard, but we take it by 5 !
We got this. We have the momentum and the better team. They are looking very old and all their bigs are hurt. We win and bring it back to Orlando. Book it.
Dwight is gonna be in foul trouble in the first 3 minutes of the game book it....
Refs worry me... I am taking this game on like it's our last. In my mind, this is the end of our season.
Dwights gonna kill them fools!!
Oddsmakers have Boston as 3.5 pt favs. It will be interesting to if the spread is covered.
I wish someone could photshop all Bostons players flopping around on the court like live fish flopping around on a hot skillet.
I'm really worried about the officiating tonight, the c's have been politicking big time in the media
Byron Scott just recently predicted that the Celtics are going to win game 6. He says they have too much experience to lose it all now. Furthermore, when asked if the Celtics could win game 7, he said yes.
Magic win by an elbow.
Vince in the pregame sounds like he has the sniffles...Wonder if Shard passed the bug along.
I think we'll see Boston try to be physical on one end and flopping on the other. Howard will get hacked hard. Ultimately, we'll get jobbed by the refs. Writing on the wall.
We won game 7 last year in TD Garden, we can do it again. With or without KG!
The Celtics are going to be ready tonight, injuries or no injuries, many expect the Celtics to close it out tonight, but the Magic are riding the momentum right now and we've got to play our game. We can do this.
Baby & Sheed will play, but with reduced playing time for sheed. They're both **** up so they won't be having big games.
If we go down 10pts in the first, we'll be demoralized and they'll have the momentum all night long. If we come out hard, we can take them out of their game. Shard on Pierce is a matchup we have to exploit, I wanted Shard at the 3 all year, didn't happen, but even Stan could see that Shard ripped Pierce in that 4th, I think we'll see it a bit more
As much as Shard can beat Pierce on one end, Pierce can get any look he wants on Shard..
Sad how Boston Herald is talking about 'taking Howard out'
I definitely don't have a good feeling about tonight. You would think that Boston would play close to their best tonight and after Game 5 (the one game this series where we got some whistles) I think Boston will get every call known to man.
I wonder if there would be any lingering effects on Davis even if they clear him to play Like I wonder how cautious he might be while guarding Howard tonight. Like trying to avoid another inadvertent elbow.
Stan has to get either bass or gortat in to get that 7th tech on Perkins
Haha..Pierce elbows jameer in the face..foul on u jameer!
Celtics getting a bunch of cheap calls early, what a shocker
Garnett was punching Dwights arm on a hand check which Garnett does ALL THE TIME and the commentators stated Howard should have been called for a foul.
I think that's flagrant-worthy
Officially lost respect for KG. That's a technical or flagrant.
Garnett was straight up yelling in the ref's face after the ref gave him 2 opportunities to quick punching Dwight.
That should be a flagrant you can karate chop dwights arm. They have their arms pushing Dwight on the other end but when Dwight touches kg..kg does that? What a punk.
Two fouls on KG yes!
At least we are getting the foul calls.
Celtics have two quick fouls called on them. Magic should continue to be aggressive.
Celtics are playing with a LOT of energy and their fans are going berserk, this isn't looking good
They keep calling those 3 second T's to throw us out of rhythm, awesome...
Unfortunatley they were good calls.
If Vince is going to foul, he should hit him harder than that.
Still waiting on Pierce to have that bad shooting game.
More flopping from Glass Jaw.
The refs could have easily called Barnes there I am feelin good abouth these refs so far.
Carter brought his full arsenal of FAIL tonight I see.
We're losing this one guys .. This is not the magic team from games 4 and 5
Everytime Glen Davis makes a shot I wanna destroy everything in my path
Refs are killing us, nothing new.
With the refs playing in green, the Magic with so little intensity and our players missing those gimmes, we're going to lose
I just saw big baby swing his elbows around after getting a rebound..guess its ok w/ he does it but a flagrant when Dwight does it.
I hate the Celtics
Now they get to call Dwight dirty again. That looked like it hurt.
Oh man Boston fans are gonna hate on Dwight so much after that- Superman has a thing for knocking young point guards out
Rondo pulling a Vince Carter again. Soft.
We may win after all.We needed to slow Rondo someway.
He'll be back in 20 seconds...some Pierce class acting
Honestly. That was a hard fall. Rondo is the one player who isn't soft one bit.
Does anyone know any voodoo? Please perform it so that Rondo and Pierce get injured for good....I'm so sick of them pretending to be in pain on the ground and then get back up and score 20 points 2 minutes later!
I hate Nate Robinson
We know what side the refs are on
The refs are doing a good job. We have to put more intensity, like we do in the first minutes.
I can't name a single player for Boston that I like.
Nate can pass better than Jameer lol
That 2 points of Garnett was against 4 players of the magic. No energy at all.
I say Otis should give Nate a call when Free Agency begin. We sure could use that kind of spark off the bench.
Barnes need to get into another yelling match with KG
Jameer is getting his azz schooled by the thug midget..way to go
Nothing left to see boys and girls. Nelson has been exposed and is being schooled and Vince couldn't be Hedo's towel boy.
Too much nate Robinson
Are you guys all forgetting that the Celtics love to lose with big leads when they're injured?
We still have a chance.... They always play worse in the 2nd half. Just have to cut this lead down some.
Safe to say the fates do not favor us tonight. Rondo has made more 3s than our entire team, and he's also 3-3 at the line as a bad FT shooter. Then Nate just chucks and hits a terrible shot.
Nate Robinson is one of the biggest Magic killers in the league.
I liked Rondo better.
13 points is nothing This gm is far from over. Come out strong in the 2nd half which I firmly believe we will do, cut it to 6-7 in the first 5. Lets do this boys, the only reason they are up is because of nate.
We've been melting down since before Robinson came into the game.
Doc trusts his bench. Must be nice.
We're only down 13 and we didn't play our game AT ALL in the first half. I see the Celts getting tired in the 2nd and us heating up from the 3 land.
We have outplayed the Celtics in the 2nd half in pretty much every game so far, no reason we shouldn't do it here. Hopefully Rondo comes out stiff and the rest of the older C's ware down come the 4th quarter. They are still out-hustling us...we either need them to show age or we need to pick up the energy.
I still can't believe Nate Robinson might be the difference in this game between winning and losing. My brain is trying to fathom that thought
The dude is a certified magic killer. Something like that was bound to happen.
Losing this because of stupidness
Well when u put together a team with brains the size of raisens this happens..its a dumb team
Is going to get injured and leave the game. Watch for it.
I know it's early but it may be time for hack a Rondo
No one gives a **** about ray allens mom or her stupid bedazzled jersey. Quite showing her on TV
This is torturous. Where the hell is everyone. Why isnt anyone playing. Why is this game 3 all over again.
Man I hate Pierce. He turned two legit HOFers into floppers.
The Celtics are good, but we're not nearly this bad. They want it more than us, and that's why they're going to win it.
They deserve the finals, too bad they needed the refs' help, but they deserved this much more than we did...
I will be so glad when the off season comes.. Oh wait.. That will be in 12 minutes
Ive seen us come back from these leads and the Celtics blow these leads even in the series.
You're living in denial. Boston isn't losing this game.
Especially when your franchise center reacts to the crowd.
Its over guys, we suck.
Dude we don't suck we are just getting beaten
NBA, where its been fixed happens
So, who do you guys got in the Finals? The Lakers or Celtics? I going out on a limp in say Lakers in 6.
Artest is going to KILL yes I mean KILL Paul Pierce.
I want the lakers to win they are the less of two evils. Also I really cant handle seeing kg fat baby Pauline and rondo getting another championship.
LOL at Howard taunting the crowd when his team is down by 18!
Since nate Robinson scored in the 2nd quarter the magic haven't been the same. He took them out of their game. The Magic are looking to take 1 shot and hope it goes in.
If it's Boston vs LA in the finals I hope it's a sweep. I can't stand Boston.
This whole league is fixed. You can't tell me that every time D12 gets fouled that it is not flagrant. And don't get me started with how Pierce plays. I really wish he blew out a knee.
I think the Celtics have about five of my top ten players I'd hate to see on my team.
Celtics shouldn't call anyone dirty.. that's like Earl Boykins laughing at Jameer for being short.
Screw it Dwight punch somebody. Break them, preferably Pierce.
I hate the Celtics. Not because they beat us. But because Paul Pierce is a punk who plays to the refs. Because I hate their fanbase, who boo opposing players that do the same thing they do (I.e.: play physical). Because I hate the Boston media who literally do things like campaign for their team to take out an opposing player. Congrats to the Celtics on their upcoming win, but it couldn't have happened to a less deserving team.
David stern is poppin ciroc bottles somewhere
Dwight is letting the crowd get to his head. We need players to get him a ring or he will leave
Paul pierce lives for tough shots. You have to be in his face and even that isn't enough sometimes
Kendrick Perkins has not opened his mouth tonight. This is against his character
Magic saluting and giving Celtics props... Unlike Lebron last year.
I think we handed the trophy to the lakers because Dwight single handedly took out their bigs...lol
Lakers in 5?
Doubt it son!
This Celtic team is playing good defense! I don't wanna sound like a Celtics fan but everyones been doubting this team since the regular season! Come on guys who would have thought Celtics would be ECC after the way they were playing in the 2nd half of the season
I have to say this team is by far our worst matchup in the Eastern Confrence. They are the only team with a guy that can guard Howard one on one in Perkins (maybe Bogut) so they don't have to double and expose themselves to the shooters. We set our team up to play the Cavs we didn't plan on Lebron quitting like a bitc* and leaving us exposed.
We didn't plan on the Celts finding the fountain of youth either..
I cant wait for the day when Garnett and Pierce retire. Then the Celtics become screwed. I still have a lot of respect for Ray Allen even though he is a Celtic. He has been a class act as far as I can remember.
So true about Allen I just cant stand his MOM
You know how usually when someone is playing great in a series, they usuallly have at least 1 bad shooting game ?? Pierce is just automatic...has been since game 1 till now... I don't think he's missed 3 shots in a row this series...theres no way to track that but I'd bet money he hasnt..
Boston simply has a lot more pride than we do. Props to them. They deserve it. We don't.
They deserved to win but they do it in such a classless, annoying style that it is hard to give them credit.
If we swapped Vince with Allen or Pierce, we're the ones celebrating right now.
I have a sudden calm about myself that we were put out of our misery.
I have a new respect for Doc after this series. When we had him, I didn't think he was that special, but he did an outstanding job with oldies.
Losing to an incredibly classless team who cheats and flops is disgusting.
They need to suspend KG for game 1 of the finals for those karate chops on Howard's arm. He could have broken his arm. If there's any justice they will review it and suspend him. They complain about Dwight's elbows that happen by accident in the play but yet their "star" gets to break guys arms on purpose. He needs to be suspended.
Flopping, c o c k y, injury faking, trash talking, street thugs. What is this the 65th time they've been to the Finals? The NBAs a joke.
They earned it, I mean we aren't experienced enough in playing dirty, flopping, crying, playoff basketball
Never thought I could hate a team more than the Cavs but the Celtics did it, and I hope they get swallowed whole by the Lakers
They were better than us, we had home court advantage, the odds were stacked against them and they came through.
I hate the LAKERS! But I hate that fat **** Pierce even more. I hate him more than Vajero, Lebron, Kobe, Fisher and Ginnobili. He is the worst thing in basketball at the moment, acting should not be in it. What he does goes against sportsmanship.
You know what I'm happy for Nate Robinson. He is one guy that I can say I'm actually happy for on the Celtics roster (the only other guy I like on there is Ray Allen). He was stuck on the most dysfunctional team in sports history and then sent to a playoff team that basically had no use for him what so ever. Then after months of sitting he comes in, and essentially buries the Magic and sends his team to the finals. I honestly think it was Nate's play early on that was the backbreaker today. Congrats Nate you earned it.
It's too bad that the Lakers get to put the Celtics out of their misery and not us.
I hate that the Celtics with their thugs and flopping beat us. They don't deserve it. The only positive is that I'll get to see the Lakers sweep those thugs.

Celtics Hoping 3rd Closeout Game's the Charm
Friday, May 28, 2010
by FLCeltsFan 3:19 PM
at ![[image]](http://www.teammascot.com/aaa/images/products/160/20961_160.jpg)
Orlando Magic (2-3,10-3) at Boston Celtics (3-2,11-5)
Friday, May 28
8:30 PM ET
Post Season Game #16, Home Game #8
TV: ESPN
TD Garden
Referees: Monty McCutchen, Mike Callahan, Ken Mauer
Celtics once again have a chance to close out this series. After going up 3-0 and looking invincible, the Celtics have lost their defensive intensity and they have given the Magic confidence. Now, the lack of focus and intensity in game 4 is coming back to haunt them.
They are coming into game 6 bruised and beaten. Big Baby will play but may be suffering after effects from the Dwight Howard elbow that gave him a concussion. Rasheed is a game time decision with back spasms. Rondo has been battling back spasms. Tony Allen is still battling an ankle injury. Marquis Daniels is probably out with a concussion. KG was reportedly walking off the court gingerly after game 5. And Perk is precariously perched on the edge of a suspension should he get one more technical.
The Celtics are on their home court, but that hasn't always been a good thing this season, although they blew out the Magic in their first game at home in this series. Maybe the Celtics will get a little better treatment from the refs in this one. The Celtics will need to leave it all out on the court in this one because this is their game 7. They just can't think that they have one more chance after this one. This is it, because the longer the series goes, playing every other night, the more the chance that the Magic will win it.
Probable Starting Matchups

Kendrick Perkins vs Dwight "the Elbow" Howard
Key Matchups
vs ![[image]](http://i.cdn.turner.com/si/.e1d/img/4.0/global/basketball/nba/players/3818.jpg)
Kendrick Perkins vs Dwight Howard
Howard has dominated in the past two games because of Perk being limited by foul trouble or ejected. Perk has got to play Howard tough but smart and keep him from getting to his spots in the paint. Hopefully the refs will let Perk play in this one. The way I see it, they owe him one.
vs ![[image]](http://i.cdn.turner.com/si/.e1d/img/4.0/global/basketball/nba/players/3837.jpg)
Rajon Rondo vs Jameer Nelson
Rondo was incredible in games 1-3 and the Celtics won them. He has been tentative and out played by Jameer Nelson in games 4 and 5 and not surprisingly, the Magic won. Like Perk, Rondo has been plagued with foul trouble right from the start of games. Rondo has to be aggressive on both ends of the court but without picking up early fouls. He also must set the pace of the game and keep the Celtics offense moving.
Honorable Mention
![[image]](http://www.canada-photos.com/data/media/4/park-bench_848.jpg)
The Celtics bench has been great in this series but now there is a major question mark there. Sheed and Big Baby are both game time decisions and Tony Allen has been struggling with a sprained ankle. Doc has had to go deeper into his bench with all the injuries and foul trouble and the results haven't been all that successful. The Celtics reserves must come through for the team to have a chance to win. The starters can't do it by themselves.
Keys to the Game
Defense - Defense wins championships isn't just a saying. It is an absolute fact. The Celtics' defense was amazing in games 1-3. But in games 4 and 5, they allowed the Magic way too many open and easy shots. They seemed to lose their defensive focus. Terrible officiating may have something to do with it. But, the Celtics must find a way to deal with the refs and win anyway. Defense is the key. They have to get back to playing the tough in your face defense that won the first 3 games.
Rebounding - Second to defense is rebounding. The team that is more aggressive on the boards will get more second chance baskets and more fast break points. So much of rebounding is effort and desire as is evident when the shortest guy on the court can come up with a lot of rebounds. In game 5, the Magic out rebounded the Celtics 43-26. The Celtics can't win when they give up that many rebounds. The team that wants it more will show it in their rebounding numbers.
Hustle and Intensity - The Celtics must go after every loose ball and every rebound. They have to set the tone with their hustle and their intensity. If they do that, they can take the Magic out of the game early as they did in the first 3 games. In games 4 and 5, it was the Magic who got all the hustle plays and if the Celtics want to win this game they have to turn that around. The team that wants it more and gets the hustle plays will get the game.
Play 48 Minutes - The Celtics must come out with focus early and get the jump on the Magic right from the start. They can't let the Magic get off to a fast start or to build a lead. The Celtics must also not let up. They have a habit of fading in the 4th quarter, whether from fatigue or lack of focus, but they can't afford to do that. They have to put out the effort from the opening tip until the final buzzer.
Run the Offense - The Celtics must run their offense and move the ball and find the open man. In games 4 and 5, the ball was getting stuck and there was too much dribbling around and too many iso's and too many players trying to do it themselves. They have to trust the offense and play as a team. They can only win this if they play as a team. No hero ball.
X-Factor
Officiating and Injuries
As we saw in game 5, the officials can have a huge effect on a game. Let's hope that after the way the Celtics were absolutely taken out of the game by the refs in game 5, they owe us one and they will call it fairly. Maybe even give the Celtics the benefit of a few calls. The Celtics also have to wonder if they can overcome all the injuries suffered from the assault and battery that has been allowed by the refs in the previous games.

Today's Official Report 5/28 Game 6
by FLCeltsFan 9:34 AM
Today's Officials are:
Monty McCutchen
Home Team W/L 51/26
Home Team win % in Playoffs 90%
Calls 46.8 fouls per game
% of fouls called on Home Team 50%
McCutchen has been officiating games since 1993 and wears number 13. McCutchen missed the 1998-99 season with a ruptured Achilles tendon. McCutchen is a former elementary and middle school teacher and is fondly remembered by his students as a really nice guy. In searching for information on him, I found a Cavs' blog that blamed their April 4 loss to the Celtics on the officiating of Monty McCutchen. That was the game where Mike Brown was ejected and the Cavs made a furious comeback but fell short. Other than that, not a lot of controversy about McCutchen. His only other Celtics game in the playoffs was the Celtics game 6 win over the Cavs.
Mike Callahan
Home Team W/L 50/25
Home Team win % in Playoffs 63%
Calls 47.4 fouls per game
% of fouls called on Home Team 49.8%
Callahan has officiated over 940+ regular season games, 65+ play-off games and 5 NBA Finals games. There were a lot of complaints about Callahan's calls in the Spurs/Mavs series. His only other appearance in the Celtics' postseason was a win over Cleveland in game 4.
Ken Mauer
Home Team W/L 40-33
Home Team win % in Playoffs 50%
Calls 43.8 fouls per game
% of fouls called on Home Team 49.1%
Mauer has been a referee since the 1986-87 season and has officiated over 1,200+ regular season games, 70+ play-off games and 3 NBA Finals games. Mauer is very quick to call technicals and in one game, once ejected Doc less than 3 minutes into a game. Let's hope Perk controls himself in exemplary fashion in this game because Mauer has a quick trigger finger. No doubt about Mauer's character, he was charged with tax evasion and obstructing federal tax laws for receiving substantial taxable income from 1989 through 1994 and failing to declare it. He was one of the refs in the controversial Miami/Dallas Finals where the foul calls were totally lopsided. He has called 3 games already for the Celtics in the playoffs, Game 4 in Miami and the Game 3 debacle against Cleveland which were both losses, and Game 1 vs Orlando, which was a win.

Comments from the Other Side Magic Game 5 5/26
Thursday, May 27, 2010
by FLCeltsFan 3:00 PM
For the most part, Magic fans knew they were getting all the calls in this one. I don't remember ever seeing a worse officiated game. I liked Dwight Howard coming into this series but no more. The guy is dirty and tries to hurt people and that is very evident. If the refs would call his dirty tactics, they would stop. He does them because he is allowed to. The league better wise up before he permanently hurts someone with those elbows. It wouldn't be hard for him as strong as he is and as hard as he comes down with those elbows to break someone's neck. I'm pretty much disgusted with the NBA today. For the first time in over 40 years of watching basketball I really don't feel like watching it any more. I still love my Celtics, but the officials are taking all the joy out of watching games. It's not which team is better any longer. It's which team can overcome the horrible calls and which team is getting help from the refs and that has ruined the integrity of the game. David Stern must go.
We're going back to Boston.
I've been hoping for some kind of devastating knee injury for someone on the Celtics for a while now. My KG voodoo doll will work 2nite
I don't know, I haven't seen anything at all this whole entire series that gives me confidence that we can beat these guys. Even last game although we won, every possession was a struggle, the offense was so bogged down. We haven't had one good stretch that shows me we are figuring things out and we're going to turn things around. Here's hoping to I'm wrong.
Magic Johnson just picked us to win game 5... We're screwed.
Win this, game 6 will be the real challenge and then game 7 is ours.
The Celtics have NEVER played in a game 6 after leading 3-0 in a series. Will that change tonight?
Yep, and they had never lost a game 7 @home until last year!
I think we can take game 5 or I am hoping we do, last thing I want is the Oreana's last game is a Celtics win, like we did to the Boston garden 95-96
Rondos arms look like they reach his knees almost..There super long, but he reaches like crazy though.
I wanna call an exterminator everytime I see him..he is such a pest..put antennas on him he would look like one to..
Stop the TO's and stop that Flopper Pierce!
These refs need too be hit with a lead pipe across the knee's in the parking lot after the game.
We're going to see this kind of murder by the refs for 3 games more, nevertheless, we WILL win those 3 games! GO MAGIC!
Finally they tag that punk Rondo with his 2nd. He should have 4 fouls right now.
These refs are awful. Stop favoring Boston, please.
Pierce is honestly just a tad below LeBron when it comes to favourable calls.
At least Cleveland usually only has LeBron to get a ridiculous amount of BS calls. The Celtics have a team full of them.
Rondo KG Fat Baby and Sheed are all in foul trouble. We need to attack attack attack
Hey, look! A call in our favor.
Big Baby is a flopping guy man, I cant stand him..
I love how they're the ones flopping and getting the fouls called on them..
Their racking up fouls. Rondo in foul trouble again. GOod news.
I'm loving these refs today.
Were getting bailed out. A few times.
I thought Rondo said he was fine.
He looks a little gimpy out there.
Dwight mugged Rondo lol..
WOW... These refs are AWESOME
The refs favor us!!!
Perkins is GONE!!
That should not be a technical.
As much as I hate the Celtics that is a horrible call
THE FIX IS IN. WOOO HOO
Looks that way, the one guy that can guard Dwight gets TKO'd on a night when Dwight is beasting..
7th tech? Susp?? That's ..don't even know how to respond to that..wow.. I listened to donaghy on Dan Patrick show and he said.. Hmm ..kinda interesting then seeing this
I don't know why everyone hates Perkins. He is the only Celtic that doesn't flop all over the court. In fact I have never seen him go to the ground unless someone tackles him. He is one ugly dude but I respect his game.
Wow I don't like this. Now the Boston fans will have an excuse..
Well, that was a gift.
I'm a magic fan obviously...but does this game seem a little....fishy ??
That was neither a foul or a technical on Perkins. They really are hosing Boston right now.
Even David Steele and richie abubadato the radio announcers for the magic said the Perkins foul was bunk.
Orlando, where every word is a technical foul
That was a terrible call and we will probably pay for the bad officiating in the end. I just hope it's not in the next game.
Wow bad call....incidental on big baby It's raining fouls
THAT WAS NO FOUL PIERCE FLOPPED!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE PULLED HOWARD ON TOP OF HIM.
Get the wheelchair!! What an actress!!!
Makes you wonder about the reports of Paul Pierce getting "stabbed" I bet he just cut himself making salsa
Dwight has be to careful - he's getting too many of the head shots
Rondo and Pierce certainly do love hitting the deck, don't they?
So all of a sudden the refs on our side right now?
Game 6 will be the hardest game any of our guys have ever played if we make it that far. It's going to be a war, one in which I HOPE the refs stay out of.
Ok, NOBODY is more sick of poor calls against us more than I am. But some of these calls against Boston are flat out garbage. I hope this isn't setting us up to be royally screwed over by officiating in game 6 if there is one. Why can't NBA refs stay the hell out of the game, it's ridiculous.
Looks like Crawford hates the Celts more then us..
What happened to Big Baby? He looks seriously dazed. I hope he's all right, because right now, he looks as if he just had a stroke, and I don't mean that sarcastically.
Somebody HAS to make a .GIF out of that big baby stumble....
They're losing all their big man..
Ouch, it was Howard
He was elbowed,knocked out a bit,no biggie.
Dam that's gotta hurt. Hopefully he is ok. Dwight just developed his new weapon
"The People's Elbow"?
Big baby is one of the first people I've seen to get up from one of those, so props to the guy.
Why are the Celtics always on the floor? (MY Take: Could it be because they are always getting elbowed and knocked to the floor by fouls that aren't being called? Just sayin'... )
I must say the ref is awfully nice to us tonight
No perk, no Davis .. We should win this one
Could both be out next game if we win..
C's seem like a weak team.....
I hate pierce for that foul .. But then again, who doesn't hate Pierce
NBA better give Pierce a Flagrant for that
Pierce is dirty
Some part of me hopes that Stern sees the intrigue of the Magic being the first team to come back from a 3-0 deficit to bring in ratings. Maybe the refs will start showing us more love!!
The longer it goes the better for us..they are getting tired..their age is a factor in a longer series..
Daniels played 2 minutes this whole entire series and he ended up getting a concussion. . . . .lol
The Celtics just aren't sturdy, their age and fragile nature might be their downfall...
They're running out of players..
This is the worst kind of win I'd have hoped for and will unfortunately be remembered as one of those asteriks games predetermined by NBA, like the 2000 Kings-Lakers. Homerism aside, both T's on Perkins were an utter joke, as well as early ticky tacky fouls on some other Celtics fouls, and frankly, Dwight should have been ejected for either of the elbow follow throughs on Pierce and Davis. I used to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it's very clear now that he has definite intent to injure when he comes down. Even when he blocked Rondo, he was looking to hurt him in the follow up, as well as in some other plays. I'm very disappointed in him turning into a dirty player. Someone he respects better talk to him about it and set him straight
Howard didn't intentionally try to hurt anyone. Also for the record, Perkins deserved that tech as he was walking away. You don't know what he said. Furthermore, Vince got a tech in game 2 when he was on the frickin sideline, and that game was close.
Boston is Bruised Battered and Beaten we got the momentum all pressure on Boston now
According to Celtic fans D12 is the most dirtiest player in the league.
All of KG's pushing is "playoff basketball" but Howard's elbow's are dirty?
How about pierce throwing jj to the ground? That was a flagrant..
Lets just all pray that Perkins' techs stick. Posting Shard on PP was a beautiful sight tonight
The techs on Perkins won't stick. They would if they were any other team than the Celtics. Because they are the Celtics, the NBA will inevitably cheat for them at some point in time. This is probably that point.
It's obivious those technicals are getting rescinded. The media is putting the pressure on the NBA to do it, and quite frankly they both were bull.
I hope against hope they stick, but the 1st should be rescinded. It was clearly an inadvertant elbow, but the ref had absolutely no way of knowing that. Then again, the NBA adjusted Dwight's elbow to a flagrant 1 after reviewing it, and it is painfully obvious that was little more than over acting...
Lets keep fighting we got them right were we WAnt them play as hard as you can in game 5 there an
old team and its showing keep punching in them in the mouth
So awesome to get this win. And haha half of Boston is gonna be out next game.
WOw @ SVG saying he hates Rasheed Wallace
I hate to say it but I have a feeling we are going to pay for all the love we got from the refs tonight. Everyone is saying the Celtics got hosed in this one. Get ready for make up calls all over the place in the next game. Hopefully they won't have perkins or fat baby. We should win even if they do get the calls. They are beat up now. We got this.
