Hmmm.....Boston coming off an emotional win over Cleveland. Maybe they sleepwalk through this game and we can keep it close.
If Nate doesn't get a standing ovation, I will be dissapointed. He deserves it.
If Nate gets a standing ovation, I am sure D'Antoni will cuss out the fans as he did when they chanted for Steph.
Walker goes for 25 tonight.
Doc doesn't know how to use Nate. He's going to make him chuck 3's, and not hold the ball
I'd rather have Nate than Eddie House. The best player in the trade tho was Billie Walker, Celtics should have given this guy a chance.
That's not even a question...I hate Eddie house, nate will defently get a huge ovation tonight.
Come on Nate! I find it funny how Doc gave up on Nate and Daniels so quickly, but still believes Sheed's going to produce solid numbers, he's just lying to himself if he thinks that.
Rondo continues to make a lot of bonehead plays. I don't know about this guy. He has talent but I wonder how much of it is playing with star players. He made at least 8 foolish passes. Dude you're not Magic, stop it.
Giddens runs like someone just announced they are serving mashed potatoes at a "Special Kids" luncheon.
I hate JR Giddens hate him hate him hate him
Giddens runs like someone just announced they are serving mashed potatoes at a "Special Kids" luncheon.
The crowd has been chanting "Bring back Nate" ever since he got into the game.
How about that Walk or non walk on KG....how do you not call that???
If I were Doc Rivers i’d be livid with the way my team is treating this game. they’re fooling around like its a preseason game
Toney Douglas is turning out to be everything I ever wanted in Nate Robinson (pause). He’s a ridiculously energetic player with a very solid jump shot who can get to the rim and kick it out. Also, he’s a tenacious defender. Who uses his energy to pester opposing guards. The difference is the focus and work ethic.
Ray Ray's jumper is looking extra silky tonight
Maybe the knicks are better than we thought, and were just lacking a true center. Or the Celtics are worse than we thought, disinterested, and really old.
I think it's the latter
I think it's a little bit of both. Barron may not exactly be a good player, but I think an athlete dude to play C is exactly what they need. But probably more so the Celtics suck
Giddens is a Bum
Who cares about Nate, EARL BARRON! 13 and 7 so far 2nd quarter.
Gallo should be able to hit that shot over Allen all game long.. He is starting to abuse Allen now..
I could swear I see lee playing defense. Weird
Looked like he wanted to punch Barron.
KG only punches guys who he knows won't fight back.
Amazing how I used to actually kinda like KG when he was in Minny. I guess putting on any Boston uni just turns you into a big douche.
This has to be the whiney-EST team in the NBA. Its sad to see a bunch of old men cry.
Someone really needs to knock Garnett on his ass.
Garnett is a little baby...I really hope we win this game...
Yeah Garnett is such a prick---Refs should just throw him out of the game.
Garnett is a DISGRACE!
Doc not one of his best coaching games...Ray should be posting Duhon or ISO all game long...
Where was this hustle earlier in the season?!
Man, Walker's defense is really sub par. He constantly gets duped on the head fakes and picks up unnecessary fouls.
I think both teams are hacking and wacking a lot. Knicks actually got it started. Davis can take it but he was getting mauled under the rim.
As good as Rondo is, I wouldn't want him on my team. His prosperity for stupid plays is astounding.
An Rondo getting expose.
Man, Sheed just put up one of the most ridiculous shots I seen in awhile.
Wow, the Celtics make a lot of ridiculous passes.
The Celtics have a lot of issues. Whatever magic that Rondo had is slowly disappearing. To just stand there and let 6 secs roll off the court is amazing. The clock expired while he was making the pass.
Next year, the Knicks are gonna own the Celtics!!
I think a lot of teams will. When you bring in a guy life Finley, you know your run is starting to come to an end.
Paul Pierce?? What an old geezer
Good win for the Knicks don’t let Utah get a good pick
It's official, only 2 players in the NBA average 13+ and 12+ rebounds Dwight Howard and Earl Barron
Have fun getting swept out in the 2nd round by the Cavs and gettign blown up this summer.
This is why the Celtics aren't going anywhere in the Playoffs. They might lose in the first round.
In a season full of disappointment beating Boston almost makes up for it
My favorite part of the game was Lee's game of "I'm touching you" with Garnett...
KG is a royal dirtbag. I'm really glad Lee kept his arm on him.
It's really weird. Normally, I actually kind of like Garnett's trash talking and all, since it reminds me of the 90s/80s style of play. But lately he's just been kind of whiny. I think he knows that he's on the decline.
Gallo outshined Pierce by a mile tonight....
Celtics fans must be like "Barron who?"

Celtics Visit The Other Garden Looking to Sweep Division Foe
Tuesday, April 6, 2010

at ![[image]](http://www.wristbandsusa.com/images/NY-knicks.jpg)
BostonCeltics (48-28) at NY Knicks (27-49)
Tuesday, April 6
7:30 PM ET
Game #77, Road Game #38
TV: MSG, CSN-NE, NBA LP 757, 758
Madison Square Garden
Referees: Mike Callahan, Derek Richardson, Haywoode Workman
The Celtics are trying to build some momentum going into the playoffs. They are coming off a big win over the Cavs on Sunday and need to win games against the lottery teams like the Knicks or winning that game would be meaningless. The Celtics are fighting with Atlanta for the 3rd seed and trying to build momentum going into the playoffs. Every game is important for them for those two reasons. Atlanta is playing in Charlotte without their star, Joe Johnson. A win could pull the Celtics even with them or at worse keep them 1 game behind. A loss may drop them 2 games behind.
The Celtics are 21-1 in road games against Atlantic division teams in the new Big 3 era. The only road loss to a division rival was a 100-88 loss to New York on Jan. 4, 2009. Since that loss, the Celtics have won 12 in a row on the road against Atlantic division foes. They are also 3-0 against New York this season.
This will be the Celtics first visit to Madison Square Garden since the trade that brought Nate Robinson to Boston and sent Eddie House, Bill Walker and JR Giddens to New York. Nate's playing time has decreased sharply lately and he did not play Sunday for the first time in 22 games since he joined the team. Nate doesn't figure to be in the playoff roster at this point, but it isn't clear whether he will play in NY where he was a fan favorite, even though he was constantly in the coach's dog house there. While Eddie House's play has been up and down, Bill Walker has moved into the starting 5 for the Knicks and is making the most of his playing time there.
New York avoided going winless on a five-game road swing by defeating the Los Angeles Clippers 113-107 on Sunday. They had were on a 4 game losing streak before winning their last game. The Celtics were on a 3 game losing streak at home before beating the Cavs there on Sunday. The Celtics are 6-4 in their last ten games and 24-13 on the road while the Knicks are 4-6 in their last ten games and 16-22 at home.
The Celtics can't afford to take the Knicks for granted. The Knicks have nothing to play for other than pride and ping pong balls. But, against the Celtics, often their pride overrules their desire for a higher draft pick. The Celtics have a game in Toronto on Wednesday so it would be nice to put this team away early and get some rest for the starters in the 4th quarter.

Jonathan Bender (finger) out
Wilson Chandler (groin) out

Key Matchups
vs
Kendrick Perkins vs David Lee
David Lee has been playing very well and has been one of the bright spots for a Knicks team that is once again heading for the lottery. Lee is a handful for anyone to guard and Perk will need help from his teammates to try to contain him, especially since he is still struggling with a sore knee.
vs ![[image]](http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com/nba/nyk/DuhonNYK.jpg)
Rajon Rondo vs Chris Duhon
The point guard matchup is key in any game. Teams are finding that if they can slow down Rondo, they can slow down the Celtics. Rondo has been playing very well of late and he needs to continue his aggressive play on both ends of the court.
Honorable Mention
Ray Allen vs Bill Walker
With McGrady out, Bill Walker moved into the starting shooting guard spot. Walker is finally getting playing time and is producing for the Knicks. Ray is coming off his best game this season and hopefully will continue with his hot shooting in this game.
Keys to the Game
Defense Defense is the key to winning not only this game but the championship. The Celtics still need to work on tightening their defense up as they are still allowing too many easy baskets, especially in the second half of games.
Rebound The Celtics need to make a concerted effort to grab rebounds on both the offensive and defensive ends. David Lee is very good at tip ins and put backs and the Knicks will be looking to run on defensive rebounds so the Celtics must crash the boards to limit both of those options for the Knicks. Rebounding is another area the Celtics need to improve on if they want to go deep into the playoffs.
Focus When the Celtics are focused on team play, they are very hard to beat. But, they seem to lose focus in some games, especially in the second half. The Celtics need to keep their focus on team play and on defense throughout the game. They need to play 48 minutes and not just 2 or 3 quarters.
X Factor Let Down Game After putting out a lot of energy against the Cavs, the Celtics could let down because they are only playing the Knicks. Hopefully they will take this game as seriously as they did the Cavs. In the fight for the 3rd seed, every game is important as is building momentum going into the playoffs.

Comments from the Other Side - Cavs 4/4
Sunday, April 4, 2010
by FLCeltsFan 8:42 PM

If you were just reading the comments on the Cavs boards you would have thought that the Celtics had a 45-9 free throw advantage on the Cavs. I was very surprised to look at the box score to see that the teams were called for 27 fouls each and that the Cavs took 2 more free throws than the Celtics. They are so used to getting the games called so ridiculously in their favor that a game that is called fairly even, with missed calls on both sides, just sends them into a frenzy.
Although the Celtics have been struggling, the Cavs can't take this game lightly since this should be a statement game for Boston
It's a bit suprising looking at Boston's home record. That said, I expect them to bring their A game after the Cavs romped them by 20 in Boston last time.
I really do think the only player on the Celtics that hurts us is Rondo. Gotta stop him in transition
"It must be some kind of...hot tub time machine" HAHAHHA, Boston needs one.
Always fun to beat down the Celtics.
If we can't beat Boston or Orlando, we don't deserve the title. So, why do we care who the fourth seed is? The only relevant team in the East other than us is Orlando, simple as that.
Boston is still tough, they aren't somebody who will die easily. But let's crush 'em. Beat them, maybe we'll get our true revenge in the semi-finals and finally end their reign like we did with the Pistons and Wizards. Break their spirits.
If there's any game Boston wants to use as a measuring stick and see if they are REALLY ready for the postseason, this is it. They are gonna BRING it. Lets see how the Cavs respond.
We need to run, they are to old to run with us up and down....
I hope we get to play Raptors...then Boston.that's a easy road to the ECF, and we get to get revenge from 2008
Despite the 8-1 run to start, the Celtics legs are dead. They're giving up that spread, because they clank off the front of the rim.
Wow... LeBron had J.J. On the oop there but opted for the 1 on 3 drive instead. He's in full out chuck mode and none of the jumpers have even been close. This is ugly early on.
Princess Pierce doing some acting as usual
When Rondo hits a three at the buzzer, it may just not be your day.
And now Sheed with the T. Let’s face it, Boston has no reason to complain about the way the refs have called this game AT ALL.
C’mon Z – if you’re going to foul Paul Pierce, foul him hard.
Wow, did Garnett do some acting to get that foul – feel push in back, touch shoe, get foul.
it's always nice to know that the refs are going to allow the Celtics to do their customary moving screens
LeBron fouled on the layup no call, Pierce travels and then gets a foul call.
Wow, what BS thusfar by the refs. There has been way more contact on LeBrons drives and they give Shuttlesworth and and 1 on that touch foul?
OMG the Cavs are being robbed by the terrible reffing This is probably the worst reffed quarter I have seen all season.
We played terrible but the atrocious reffing didn't help things. BOS was gifted about 8pts that quarter.
You guys need to stop complaining about the refs.. We're being out played and out hustled, thus we are losing.
Do we want Atlanta or Boston in the second round?
Without a doubt the answer is Atlanta. Boston brings a much more physical brand of play than the Hawks. Let the Magic deal with that.
To be honest, I don't feel concerned to be down 10+ to the C's in the first half. They are known for their 2nd half collapse.
Rondo is destroying the Cavs off the dribble.
Why is Z dribbling right there? Where is he dribbling to? Z should never put the ball on the floor
Man, what a hard foul there. I'm surprised the refs showed enough restraint not to hit West with a flagrant and only a shooting foul
That "Ray Ray" whippersnapper just victimized old man Z.
Is it just me or are the announcers slightly bias towards the Cavs?
Maybe if LBJ wouldn't try to pose for 2 seconds in the backcourt then he would have had more time to get it to the hoop or time for Z to actually get the shot off....I hate when he half asses up the court at the end of qtrs to settle ...he does it all th time
I read an article yesterday that said something like maybe the Cavs should consider losing this game today so we can help Boston get that 3rd seed lol
Do you think we actually want to win this game and face Boston in the second round instead of Atlanta who we own? Lebron is playing like he doesn't care.
I don't think we care because we arent scurred of them...we've already owned them twice this season by 20 and by 11 they beat us the first game when we had no chemsitry
I have no qualms about losing this game. The Cavs are the better team and have nothing to prove, losing would help a lot more than winning. Luckily Boston has a cake schedule left.
Boston, Atlanta... Both teams are easy to beat, it'll take 5 games at most.
Oh, now they are starting to make the calls against Boston that they should have all game.
The Celts are just not this good. The planets are in alignment
A defensive 3 call. There should be about 5 but I guess now that the game is out of reach they can stop cheating quite as much
Jamison has to be more aggressive to me. He is being checked by Michael Finley, that should be an insult.
Put in LeBron please. We need to keep this close enough so that we're still close enough to take advantage of the famous Boston 2nd half meltdown.
Rondo just abuses our D when we play Z or Shaq. He goes right by them with ease.
We are a step slow against old people.
LOL Boston doesn't get away with moving screens anymore? Now if only the refs were to ref Orlando the same way and we'll be just fine.
Doc telling the old guys to run LOL. Not gonna happen. They're gonna run out of gas.
I don't know who TheAkronHammer is, but I do know he's sitting right behind the Cavs bench this game and the Cavs share the sentiment about the refs.
Quote:
TheAkronHammer: LOT of complaining about the refs from the #Cavs. Words I can't repeat here and maintain a PG-13 rating. LeBron is surprisingly profane. I don't know why we want the refs to call more fouls, considering the way the Cavs shoot FTs..
It's gonna be scary when it's freethrow time in the playoffs
LeBron can't complain about not getting foul calls today. He'll just lay bricks at the FT line anyways.
LOL @ IT DOESNT MATTER!!!! It does to the Relics, they get confidence after a win like this.
This is what happens when you get in the habit of taking it easy and pulling it out in the fourth quarter against inferior opposition.
That intentional foul on Perkins bothers me. We are one of the best defensive teams in the league - we don't need to resort to intentional fouls to get stops. Just sets a bad tone for the entire team.
I knew Lebron would chuck that three. He has the most predictable shot selection in NBA history.
FYI, if the Cavs get within 2 I guarantee LeBron takes a 3.
This is why I want to play ATL in the 2nd round. We still haven't beaten Boston in that building with Pierce. They are all healthy now, so laughing about them being healthy isn't really funny anymore, because they are healthier than we are right now.
If losing this game gets Boston the 3 seed, then by all means, lose this game.
I think it does not have to do with them. It's just the way we came out to play today that results to this. Their best game versus our best game will demolish them by 15-20 points.
Hey I'd rather juke it out with Atlanta then Boston. Boston have it in them to turn it up for a couple of weeks. Atlanta aren't mentally there to keep it up. Let Boston and Orlando bash each other up in the 2nd round.
Now playing the role of Ricky Davis...Tony Allen.
ESPN has a point. This win really means nothing to us.
It means quite a bit to the Cavs, if it did not they would of not played there starters. The final game against the 76ers last season meant nothing, this game means everything.
Who could have seen this coming!? Oh, that's right, I was the only to say Celts win:) As hard as it is to say, Jon Barry summed it up saying we have little to play for, and knowing we are missing a physical center we were going to get eaten up a bit. No worries, title is ours
Kevin garnett is insane..his ritual just staring at the hoop is weird
This is seriously sad and this shows just how bad the cavs can play. I hope this does not translate into the playoffs
It is frustrating to lose this one but the Celtics lost three in a row and you know they wont lose 4 and with ray Allen shooting like this there is no way to beatt this team
Forget the Magic or the Lakers... FT's are gonna take us out....
If KG was talking to me like he was to LeBron there, I'd contemplate throwing the free throw just so five of his teeth lined the word "Spalding."
Refs missed that one. Rondo was hit in the head..
Keep attacking! This is the classic Boston 4th quarter breakdown!
Crazy game. Ray Allen has been automatic today, huge shot.
Haha bout time Sheed got in on the tech foul action
Damn TOny Allen is smart, BRON BRON will miss 1
Outside of Mr. And Mrs. Allen you may be the only one to ever say these words.
This is this worst ref'd game of the season. The only one that comes close is that game against the Magic.
Hey, I bet KG feels like he got his 25K worth today!
Even if we lose, as long as we keep making them sweat, we win in the long run They can't beat us four out of seven times
THESE CATS TOO SCARD PAUL CANT EVEN DRIBBLE RIGHT NOW
There we go. Now the refs are getting even
This has always been Boston's vice...screwing up double digit leads. But I appreciate rondo's hustle this game..I can see him being on eof the best PGs in the league in a few years
I can't believe they called a goaltend there. I think there was a foul but the goaltend was both questionable and stupid
FT's cost us the game. Boston is not in our league.
I have no fear of Boston at all. They've shot well and have had a lot of help in this game.
Tony Allen giving the gag sign to Lebron. Not a smart move, son.
I don't care what the apologist say for this, LeBron is clearly to blame for this loss. Horrid from the FT line and then goes 0-7 from 3.
Not sure what was said, but Tony Allen was doing his best Reggie Miller impersonation by miming a choke to LeBron behind all of his teammates.
KG teaching us how to shoot clutch free throws.
I hate to say it, but KG has every right to jaw his ugly face off at LeBron.
Boston in the second please. End them just like Detroit.
Hmm ANOTHER Allen three...that couldve ruined the game
I officially hate ray Allen
LeBron 0-7 from three, Allen 6-7 There's your game right there
OK, Kevin, you made the free throw. Go ahead and trash talk. Wanna talk about that 22-point collapse?
I hate Garnett
No matter what, this has still been one heck of a 4th quarter, bodes well for us and def not for Boston
Losing to a bunch of has-beens is not fun. With a little luck and some neutral officating…we win this one. Hell, the lack of composure cost us 4 points off T’s alone.
If we get to a Game 7 and need free throws to win at home against a team like this... We don't deserve a title
If I'm the Celtics I go to the hack a cav right now.......
Great game by the refs
If lebron would have went 19-22 from the FT line, Cavs win!
Just because they tried to talk trash, I want Boston in the playoffs. But I'm not sure if they can make the second round . Sweeping those grandpa's will be fun. Mr.Intensity would probably cry, though.
KG got in LeBron's head at the end, make him choke.
If anything we proved that when we up the intensity to playoff-level that the Celtics have no chance.
He let Garnett get in his head. Instead of doing the logical thing and tying the ball game, he went for the win to try to shut Garnett up.
If we played like we wanted to win this game we would have blown them out of the building.
The goaltend we got from the Parker three gave us 3 free ones. That ball was flying off the rim, and I didn't see any contact before it did.
Yea, both teams had calls go their way.
Lol at the goaltend, can refs not review goaltends?
A fastbreak pull up 3, down 2 with 20 seconds left after he has been destroying Boston on the drive isn't a "decent look" it is Ricky Davis/JR Smith-esque stupidity.
We were only down 2. We didn't need a 3. I like our chances in OT against the AARP.
We came back from 22 points to take the first lead of the game.....then LeBron goes Kobe on us with the pull up 3 but he doesn't make it.......even after that he goes one of two at the line and we are down 2 instead of 1. Garnett then makes both and that's game......LeBron lost this one even though he single handily brought us back.
W/ Andy we would have won by double digits.
If we played hard the first 3 quarters of this game we would have won by double digits.
How's he going to do that with LeBron jetting down the court with under 10 seconds left? I'm not sure Shaq can keep up with him and talk at the same time.
On the road you go for the win. Besides as bad as we got hosed by the officials we wouldn't have gotten the and 1 anyway.
From Mo twitter:
Mogotti2 Tough loss, we did a great job. Even refs have off nights so we gone cut them some slack. No excuses. Boston don't want to see us though. Boobie got twitter, from after game
"We aint worried bout the c's. We prolly wont see them in playoffs. If we do they in for it. Cant handle us in 7 game series
Lot of swearing and talkin down towards lebron
Our whole team luv how much trash KG talk. We want to apologize for lack of effort through 3 qrtrs. We all kno c's cant stop us at our best" Bostons Nerves >>> Cleveland Nerves...
KG talkin trash, but hey he deserves to do it. Bron missed his clutch J, and KG made his. But KG...you may have to play us in the POs...maybe you should calm down
Even if it did mean "nothing" to the Cavs, if it means something to the team we are playing then I want to give them NOTHING!!!! This time of the season and all we did was give them (Celtics) more reason to think they can not only hang, but beat us. Forget the moral victory, the moral victory was for the Celtics. If you don't think the Cavs GIVING them game menat nothing, then you didn't see KG mouthing off. He is not looking at it as moral victory, he is looking at it that they can beat us and Lebron.
Your kidding right? I see it as more BOS barely escaped with a win after a big lead even though we were missing players. I see his talking as him having more bark then bite
Actually no, I am not kidding. Cavs win and he is barking...Celtics win and he is biting...he made his FTs and Cavs/Lebron didn't. He was biting that he was clutch at the end and Cavs/Lebron weren't. He was biting for Lebron to look at the scoreboard. In all three cases he was right. You really think KG thinks they were lucky? He thinks they just took a Lebron punch and ended up standing over him.
Rhondo...how does it feel NOT to get a call when you drive to the basket? Huh, IMAGINE HOW LEBRON feels everytime he drives and does NOT get a call.........DEAL WITH IT ...........RHONDO!!!!!
Lebron didn't cost us the game, the refs did. Tons of no calls on Lebron. Poor game by the refs.
If we happen to play the Boston "Chokers" in the playoffs, they will be lucky to win one game - book it.
I wanna play Boston in the playoffs I wanna get revenge from a couple years ago.
I really missed ANDY in this game. Once we meet them in the playoffs, they will go nuts again with Andy. They will almost have no chance winning against us. BOS are just lucky Allen hitting almost all his 3's and LBJ never hit one. Great game still for Cavs.ANDY is really invaluable against that dirty old team.
KG would mouth off even he was playing a middle school team. That's what he does.
I just cant wait for the Celtics to lose the Orlando fairies
Garnett talks the most smack I have ever seen from someone who averages 14 ppg...
I can't wait to shut up Paul Pierce and Garnett in the 2nd round of the playoffs. They don't stand a chance with Shaq and AV back.
By the way the Refs made horrible cals both ways. That three that parker missed shouldn't have been even counted. It hit the rim and was going away from the basket.
The Celtics talk a lot of trash. But, I really would like to see them in the second round because pay back is due. They beat us that year even though I felt we were the better team. But, we have a lot to learn from this game.

Comments from the Other Side - Rockets 4/2
Saturday, April 3, 2010
by FLCeltsFan 10:34 AM
It is amazing how the comments on the Rockets boards went from "We're going to lose and that's good cause we are tanking" type comments to "I really want to beat these guys no matter how many ping pong balls we get" comments. These comments are definitely more enjoyable when we win, but there's some good stuff in here even though the Celtics are the ones who tanked last night. The only positive from last night is that Orlando and Atlanta lost too.
Sooo, Is it safe to say we will be playing the rookies extended minutes. I hope so
If everyone plays with high intensity, we can win this one!! GO ROCKETS!!!
With any luck we'll lose this one. Come to me sweet lottery balls
Confidence builder for the Celtics...
Everyone has been beating Boston at home. Sadly, I have a feeling that "everyone" does not include the Rockets" Please win so we don't go below 500.
It really doesn't matter anymore for the rockets. Lottery draft more important in my eyes.
The Celtics are bad at home I think we will steal a win. Keep in mind, this is the same team that got whooped by the Nyets on their home court.
Boston is coming off of 2 bad losses and an ugly win prior to that. Last game KG went off about the refs and Durant. The team was visibly pissed. I'd be very surprised if Boston didn't come out running on all cylinders and won convincingly.
It would be nice if Chase/JT put KG on a poster tonight......
Big Baby is in, which means Jordan Hill is gonna get 3 more blocks this quarter
Freakin Perkins burning Hayes...
Perkins is killing chuck with same shot time after time
"not a good sign when Hilton Armstrong makes a 17 footer" Lmfao. Even Celtics commentators have no love for this dude.
Since when did Wallace start banging in the post? Go back to chucking 3's
Michael Finley- the only player in the league Mike Harris has a mismatch on
If this was a real game I don't think Rick would have liked that
Lol did scola just cross over KG?
No, he crossed over Kevin Garnett...KG retired 2 years ago.
Harris and Armstrong showing off lol...Celtics should be ashamed.
Garnett needs to retire
Yeah KG retired after the title run and was replaced with a cry baby named Kevin Garnett.
Man Boston is getting a ton of calls.
Now that is a real point guard
Rondo is making Brooks look amateur.
Kevin Garnett and Rasheed going all veteran on us...
Wow Boston fans are idiots. Referee signals the charge call, and everyone cheers thinking it's an and 1
Celtics are old!
I would like for Rick to send Hilton Armstrong into the game just to pop KG in the face. I hate that guy
When did Boston become a bunch of crybabies, when they called goaltending, Pierce looked ready to throw a fit. I hope we beat them
We achieve nothing by winning these games. I'm not asking for the players to give up and quit. I just want to lose!
Celtics can beat most everyone in the East playoffs not Orlando, Cleveland and Atlanta but that will change next season, they are old and breaking down.
Want This win simply cause of these damm announcers
Rondo just got the rebound over Jordan Hill. Pathetic
Soooo many and 1s for Boston.
The Boston announcers are such homers.
Boston's announcers must be the biggest homers in the league.
Ouch..our entire team is balling on offense and we still barely have the lead..
All the complaining about Durant and the refs are paying off nicely for them tonight.
The refs are doing fine tonight.
Is Wallace trying to look like a hobo or what.
Rondo is a tremendous defensive player.
Lol yeh Boston get excited about beating us with the aid of the refs...as a championship contender at home, with the opposition missing 3 starters and their 6th man plus 2 rotation players.... LOL
Rockets never quit. Celtics will be getting tighter if this game stays close down the end.
Rondo loves picking ABs pockets
He isn't picking his pockets... he's mugging him. If the refs didn't hate Brooks all across the league he would have half the turnovers this year.
I hate Rondo's face. It's quite punchable.
Boston can get stops when they need them. Wish we could still do that.
Everybody is shooting the lights out! 8-10 in 3pt territory!
Wow that's amazing. Are the C’s playing any defense?
I don't think sooo! We're even outrebounding them
Does this Boston team look like a title contender? I say no
The Celts and Spurs are both frauds
Sorry, Celts, you guys aren’t good enough to win a championship
Maybe if they take their Centrum Silver
The Celtics are completely inept. Surely all glory laud and honor must go to the Rockets but Boston is malfunctioning with alarming precision
Ray Allen and KG looked like old, old men.
Allen just looked bad. Garnett looked tired and slow, but effective if he played about 20 minutes.
Celtics are a bunch of chokers.
Which team is tanking again?!?
We shot a better % from 3 than the Celtics did from the FT line
Man, you just cant root for tanking with this team. They really play hard and make you admire them
This win will be the most satisfied win all season
Why is garnett taking these long shots
What the heck happened to Boston?
Scola has been abusing Garnett and Rasheed all night long. The Celtics frontcourt is just too old.
Perkins got hacked but we've been ****Ed by the refs too.
Moving pick on Perkins Ala Game 3 1994 Finals!!!
No need for that call refs...You just gave us the game.
WOW!! The Refs have some balls tonight.
Boston is seriously choking....
WE WON YAY AND HERE THOSE BOOS FROM BOSTON

The Crippling Effects of Uncertainty
Friday, April 2, 2010
by bballee 10:56 AM
Hey, waitta minute This season has brought us a definitive fourth class of prevaricators. To liars, d*mn liars, and statisticians, we can now add anyone who thinks he has a handle on this year's Celtics. Inconsistency has been their only constant--and that includes every aspect of the Green. Individually the health and performance of the players have varied wildly from month to month, week to week, day to day, game to game, and even quarter to quarter. Similarly spotty has been the play and production of almost any group one might define--starters, second unit, deep bench, older vets, youngsters, role players, front court, back court, swing men, bigs, points, shooters, slashers, All-Stars, scrubs, and in between. As a whole they have beaten, and been beaten by, the best and the worst, the young and the old, the East and the West, and turned in wildly different results against the same team whether the games are separated by days or months. If you think you have this team figured out, I've got some seafront property I'd like to sell you . . . as soon as the tide goes out.
There have been some interesting discussions surrounding Doc’s comments about bandwagon fans. The truth is that it would be almost impossible to have swings in fan support or belief with more amplitude than the ebb and flow of the performance of this year's Celtics. Perhaps the question should be--How could the fan’s belief system not mirror the up and down nature of their team? As most of us fans demonstrate the mental instability natural for an emotionally-attached appendage to a franchise yo-yo, the stress has degraded our psyche (or would that be psychi) until our pets hide, our wives and girlfriends tread on eggshells, and the TV has become accustomed to high-decibel verbal abuse.
But enough of us, today's topic is the many and deleterious effects of such uncertainty on our beloved team. These same fluctuations that drive fan(atics) to distraction, also cast an insidious malevolent spell across all levels of the functioning of the team. On an individual level one of the keys to effective play is to understand what you can and can not do. Playing within your limits presupposes that you know what those limits are and that you can perform all the aspects that are "within." Anyone that has had a leg injury knows how difficult it is to shoot a jump shot as you recover and don't know how much lift and stability the leg will give you from shot to shot. Many of us are old enough to have encountered the corner, which when rounded, finds that the body summoned responds with a resounding "Not tonight, dear." Much of basketball, especially shooting, is mental and when your dependable's become questionable's there is no comfort zone--rather than in a groove you find yourself in the cage equivalent of moguls. Think of how many lay-ins by Pierce and Garnett (or Tony or Sheed for that matter) have been snubbed by the front rim. When your lift fails to fully materialize (whether from injury or just the decline of age), you are left a bit short--on the jump, on the shot, on the rebound, on the block, on the steal, on the finish. If basketball is a game of confidence, what must be said of the state of a player who is wildly inconsistent? At some point it becomes a chicken-and-egg thing devolving into a downward spiral.
This loss-of-competence/confidence ripple of micro to macro for individual players finds a questionable jump leading to a questionable shot leading to hesitant and ineffective play. A similar effect results in the reduced functionality of any on-court five as their interaction suffers from individual failures just as a motor is robbed of power with misfiring cylinders. Actually it is much worse as the doubt that creeps in (some would say this is just good reality testing) creates uncertainty--whether your teammate will be in time on the defensive rotation, will catch up with your pass thrown to lead, will hit the open shot that should be a slight improvement over your mildly contested opportunity, or that they will be able to get back in time to seal the other lane on the break. Just as trust allows the whole to exceed the sum of the parts, doubt ensures that the whole falls short of that sum.
The same might be said for the combined effort of the first and second units. If you have doubts about your counterpart maintaining their end of the responsibilities, there is additional pressure on you to over-perform to compensate for their possible failures. And the ripple of inconsistency and doubt goes on and on until it brings down the whole house of cards--which remained standing only because each part was used in a way to draw from its strengths and minimize its weaknesses. Success breeds success, fear fosters fear, and the Celtics have run out of time to build the momentum that comes from playing well which leads to winning and trusting and believing, which leads to playing even better and winning even more. In this light Doc's grousing about the lack of faith of the bandwagon fans starts to sound like the frightened little boy whistling in the dark trying to conquer his own fears and doubt.

Comments from the Other Side - Thunder 3/31
Thursday, April 1, 2010
by FLCeltsFan 9:28 AM
This was a tough game to watch because of the terrible officiating. Both teams played very well but the disparity in the calls was the difference. Good to see that the Thunder fans saw it too. People who love the game hate games that are decided by the refs. The Thunder is a great young team and they played well. But then again, the Celtics played well. It would have been nice to see who would win the game without the influence of bad calls and no calls. The sad thing is that this wasn't even the worst officiated game of the night. Cavs: 45 free throws, Bucks 9 free throws. No comment needed.
Boston is having a tough year, we should pull out a win tonight.
Ha ha Boston is having a tough year, but they have a better record than us.
The Celtics are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Spurs so they will be looking for some redemption.. Meanwhile we're on the 2nd of the back to back, but many of our starters got some nice rest in the fourth quarter in Philly.
If we want anything other than a 8th seed weed need this one. I predict a hard fought victory
Celtics are slippng. Rondo vs. Russell is going to be the premiere matchup in this one. Russ drops 30 on Rondo
Sorry guys. I have to go with the realist in me...
THUNDER - 89
Green guys - 97
Celtics are hungry but Thunder playing better ball. I'm jut worried a little bit about all those point in the paint by the C's...and now Collison has 2 PF's.
Where is the D?
Peirce's facial expressions and "swagger" make me nauseous.
Well, aint no D in Boston Celtics, but there aint no D in Oklahoma City Thuner either :D
Boston shot 71% that half so only being down by 4 isn’t such a bad deal. I hope they cool off so we can take it back to them in the second half.
Not having a good feeling on this one
That was a ridiculous 1st half
Hopefully the old guys get worn down in the 2nd half
I'm surprised that the refs are giving us a lot of calls. Celtics not getting any respect from them. Very surprising but I'll take it.
We lucked out on that call. 3 free throws and he wasn't shooting. I can't get over the way the refs are calling this game. I thought the Celtics would get all the calls. If we win we should send the refs a thank you note.
My experience is, that if 2 team are tied up after 3 Qs, with one team shooting 49% and the other team shooting 67%, then usually the 49%-team will win.
Glen Davis piss me of...he was trying to injure Kristic thumb.
The referees are definitely on Thunder's side... Wow Durant is getting Lebron fouls. I love Durant but damn, anything touching him is a foul.
As horrible as the Celtics announcer is, I have to agree with him. The refs are on OKCs side tonight. I’ve seen some horrible calls going the other way too but by far OKC is benefiting from the awful refs
Every possession counted, it was just a slug fest , back and forth ......... What a game.
It sucks have it decided by the refs especially when both teams were putting on an awesome show.
Great win tonight. We got lucky with some of the calls, but that **** happens.
KD made more free throws than the entire Boston team. Hahahaha.
We definatly got some lucky calls, but that's basketball. Some days the calls go against us...remember it's not like we're Cleveland and get ALL the calls
