Anyone afraid of Rasheed getting into Dwight's head?

I'm more than a little worried, because the C's are rolling right now.

The big question is what Celtics team shows up, they looked great in their wins, but they lost some stinkers as well...

After a really lopsided playoffs, I'm looking forward to some really good basketball. I have somewhat of a new found respect for Boston, but they're still gonna lose!

Over/Under: 2 as the number of times a Boston player tries to be tough and scare us only to find out we have Matt Barnes?

I think the one thing that worries me is Rondos driving to the basket. If Dwight is going to try and smack him down, Dwight will get in foul trouble.

This series is bringing the Celtics fans out of the wood work at my work place. I wore my Magic sweatshirt today and I ran into half a dozen Celtics fans who I didn't know existed. The Celtics bandwagon is alive and well!

I have a bad feeling about this game. Dan Crawford is a ref today. Not good news for the magic. I expect Dwight to be in foul trouble in the 1st quarter.

Hopefully they let em play..they have big guys that will be banging just as much if not more..hopefully Perkins is the one in foul trouble early..

The magic will come out strong and put the senior citizens to bed in game 1

Very excited at this series! HCA throughout as well as a chance to shut-up the "If we had KG" crowd.

The Magic are well rested and have been playing great ball. I don't care how good the Celtics played the Cavs. If LBJ would have been full strength Cavs would have beat them. We got this one. I say it's a sweep.

Arter was spotted downtown last night. Hopefully he was just chilling with his crew and not getting his drink on.

Be confident. We can be cocky after we win. No reason to stoop to Laker fan-status.

Wouldn't be surprised if we beat them in 5. I've watched us enough, and us verse them enough, that I feel confident we can finish it off fast. If we don't, I think we can win it in 6.

I think this team has a killers mentality right now. We don't want to simply win, we want to destroy.

I am simply worried about K.G (offensively). Rashard has a tough time against any "4" who posts him up.

I was surprised at the ousting of LeBron James and his Cavs, fact is, Cleveland was the better team 61 times out of the 82 games they played. But, when you take into account how poorly James' supporting cast performed, and how poorly he himself performed in game 5, than you obviously realize just why the Cavaliers ended up losing the series.

We're the best team in the league, and the Celtics are old. Shouldn't be tough getting past them. Flukes generally happen once though, they don't usually happen twice.

I think we win just because we're a better team, and we're a hungrier team. Let's not cut corners. They're old, and I don't think they want it as much as we do.

Perk being slightly banged up could be HUGE. He's the best Dwight-stopper in the league. He hasn't been practicing much, but I'm sure a guy as tough as him will be fine.

I'm so ready for these 'analysts' to WITNESS us again..and realize Boston isn't THAT good, Cleveland was THAT bad...here we go..us against the world!!

How did they not call that a foul on Howard?

I don't like Dwight's shots so far. He HAS to use that quick spin move to create space and get better shots when perkin's is all over him....

We lose game 1, we lose series. As simple as that. Cleveland would've been easier. They don't have an offensive game at all.

I think it's been good calls so far except for that out of bounds which should've been on Allen. The Magic are losing because they can't hit any shots and there is absolutely no ball movement.

I'd have to disagree with you on that. I think the reffing has been pretty fair for the first quarter. A couple missed calls but that is normal for any game.

it's a combination of both... No offense, but the Celtics defense is no more stringent than what we saw from ...oh, idk... The Charlotte Bobcats ... When the Magic are focused and in rhythm... Did these refs ever heard of a thing called reach in foul?, the Celtics commit like two every possession and have yet to get called once.

Still gotta give credit to the Celtics defensively. They really are in their faces and playing real physical; something the magic really haven't been good at all season.

We can't complain about the refereeing after that no call.

it's not Howard's hands being greasy. it's rasheed Wallace's length.

We need to weather the storm in the first half..Stan will make adjustments and we'll see a different team in the second half..we are scrappers we will come back..

I don't like how we match up. They can defend, and shut down Dwight without a double team allowing them to keep our shooters from getting open looks. I really wish we got the Cavs.

One thing is for sure...when the Celtics play, the refs swallow their whistles and let guys get mugged. Not saying they are calling the game one-sided, but even in the cavs series, they let Boston play a game more physical than ive seen

How could you let Rondo go down the floor and get a layup in 6 seconds? I see no fight out of this team, they are laying down like the Cavs did.

I don't believe Ray, and Paul will have these great games again like they're having now. Rondo's going to start being more aggressive, while Paul and Ray get less touches. We need to slow down Ray and Paul, and focus on that. Let Rondo beat us.

Boston is a lot better than us... A LOT better. Dwight is sheer garbage.

The Celtics have this reputation for being physical, so they're calling the game looser. If they weren't then Meer, and Vince and Shard would be getting fouled on their drives, and taking more freethrows.

This is where we have to show our superiority: our bench.

You gotta admit you got work to do if Kendrick Perkins and Rasheed Wallace are the two guys in the league that give you problems. We've know this for years though.

Hate to say it but if the magic lose today,we lose the series,Bottom Line.Hurts me to say it.

I still don't fully understand why Dwight has to be dominated on defense by Perkins.. Or Sheed.

Part of me wonders if garnett had the same put-back Dwight just did, if they would have blown the whistle...

When JJ was doing the jump ball with Rondo...JVG's like "you gotta wonder where rondo is gunna tip the ball BC you know he's gunna win the jump ball"...oh really Jeff? Why don't we just give Celtics the ball and not waste time even jumping. God he's so dense

I feel we are going to go on and slaughter this team. Boston didn't play great but they played statistically as good as they normally play. We played atrocious offense the first half and disgraceful D in the 3rd.

The Celtics are a hell of a team, but the Hawks made us rust by giving up and not competing. If the same thing goes on in game two, I'll admit it's not rust

Nothing seemed off about the magic to me. They played the Celtics like they did in the regular season. Howard struggles, low amount of assists, vince takes long 2's (he attacked more than normal, though). Only guy that seemed out of line was Barnes and a few missed open shots but.. We did that in the Christmas game too.

Almost every time these guys drove they were met with an annoying Celtic big in their face stripping them or blocking their shots. that's the physicality I'm talking about.

We get to see what our team is made out of finally. I'm worried that Orlando will piss away game 2. Boston has a great killer instinct, and winning game 2 would definitely kill our season. I'm finally starting to realize we need a player or two with championship experience.

Give Boston credit, they physically took Orlando completely out rhythm offensively. Magic gotta stop attacking them from the wings..2 easy to defend with their size. Inside out & transition...

Boston is the king of blowing big leads. They had a 21 pt lead in the 3rd and we cut to 2

They didn't blow the lead....the Magic just matched their intensity finally and dominated them at that point of the game...hopefully they wake up to the fact that they have to bring it up a notch against a real playoff team.

SVG needs to realize that Dwight cannot be a first option in this series. Stop pounding it down to him in the post..the dude cannot score on Rasheed and Perk. If he gets close..he will get fouled..and will shoot 50% from the FT line. Run the offense through Jameer and Vince, and Dwight should get all his points off offensive boards and passes from Meer and Vince.

Agreed..that puts pressure on those old guys and they will have to work harder on defense. Allen and Pierced had fresh legs throughout the game. Make em work and they barely get ten, much less twenty. Also, Nelson got by Rondo any time he wanted...interesting.

Another positive from this game is the effort, in the three years that he has been playing for us I don't remember rashard Lewis taking a charge until today.

The Celts played with streetball physicality throughout most of the game. Their defenders flopped over every little move from Dwight while draped all over him. I think we were seriously robbed by that Garnett inbounds violation.

We weren't robbed at all. The Magic sucked save Carter, Jameer, and Redick.

We weren't robbed. The refs weren't that bad. The reason why we lost was because we decided not to play during the first three quarters.

The biggest factor in the game was that the team is used to running it's offense through Dwight. Perkins and Wallace can actually guard Howard by themselves.

It would have been pretty cheap if the refs would have called that inbound violation. That happens a lot and is almost never called. A lot of guys step inbounds as they are throwing the inbound pass also and its never called. Pretty sad if the Magic need calls like that to win games.

Next game we need to put the Celtics in their place from start to finish and get the momentum back in our favor.

Just remember that the Cavs came back to win game 1 after the Celtics had a big lead and look what happened to them. We have to come out physical and take the game. They're too good to just lie down. We have to take it.

Sadly this reminds me of the Lakers series last year.
I'm scurred

They won because they played better than the Magic. Pure and simple. However, it was says something that as bad as the Magic played, Celtics could not hold on to a 20 lead. Magic must speed up the game. This slow game benefits the Celtics. If we do not win Tuesday, I believe we lose the series in a sweep.
