Chris Forsberg reports on the Celtics ESPN Blog that Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo both went through a full practice today before the team flew out for their Wednesday game in Miami. That is good news for a team that has been depleted by injuries.
But the news from practice wasn't all good. Eddie House and Kendrick Perkins both missed practice with the flu. House was not expected to travel with the team since he was running a fever and the league has strict rules about keeping players with fevers away from the team in light of the H1N1 going around. Perk was expected to travel with the team, so he must not have a fever and was described as having flu-like symptoms or a stomach virus.
The Globe added this little tidbit at the end:
Practice concluded with a first unit of Pierce and Brian Scalabrine at forwards, Rasheed Wallace at center, and Ray Allen and Rondo at guards. I really, really hope that Perk can play tomorrow night. I don't want to see Scal starting at power forward.
