The $25,000 Baby

NBA slapped a $25,000 fine on Glen Davis a day after he shouted obscenities at a Pistons fan. Davis responded to being called "Fat Boy" by a heckler with alleged references to his manhood and what the fan could do with it.
Rivers said after in an interview that Davis needed to, "...grow up."
"We know what happened, and that's unacceptable. It's tough when the fans are yelling that stuff at you, but you have to be stronger than that."
According to sources, a post on Glen's (unverified) Twitter site offered an apology apparently on behalf of Davis.
"I'm a tough competitor and I'm proud of the work I've done to get in shape and be at the top of my game, That said, I shouldn't have said what I did. My apologies to the fans and my teammates."
This is Davis' second Character issue this season resulting in fines. The first being a team fine for an off-court fight with a close friend that ended in a broken thumb for Davis and crucial missed playing time. Davis' impact last year in place of an injured KG helped the C's into the 2nd round of the 2008-09 Playoffs. His being ready and focused was/is critical to the C's. Especially now that KG has had to be sidelined by injury again this year.
All this on the heals of Sheeds $35K fine for criticizing the Refs.
