If Leon Powe's rehabbing knee is OK with team doctors Tuesday in Cleve, he will sign a 2-year deal with the Cavs, a source told Y! Sports
The deal for Powe would be for the minimum salary, with Cavs holding option for 2010-'11. Powe is expected to return by All-Star break.
I am very, very sad. I had been hoping that Leon would come back to the Celtics somehow. If the Cavs see the value of Leon playing for the second half of the season and playoffs, why can't Danny see it. I have no doubt that Leon will make it back from the injury and will be a factor in the playoffs. I knew this could happen but somehow I held out hope that he would come back to Boston. I will always root for Leon but it will be hard because I dislike the Cavs so much. I guess that I will have to root for Leon to play very well but the rest of the team to stink so that the Cavs lose. I really believe that Danny will one day regret his decision to let Leon go.
I am so torn on this. I am happy for Leon because he has a contract. But I am very sad to see him on the Cavs. I really wanted him back. I have this terrible feeling that he is going to make us very sorry we didn't sign him come playoff time.
