Good News on the Big Baby Front

Marc Spears has been one of the best writers as far as getting the stories straight this off season. He is reporting on Twitter that Big Baby is close to re-signing with the Celtics.

Glen Davis is close to signing a two-year contract to stay with Boston, a source told Y! Sports. Deal should be complete next week.

One might be tempted to boil it down to this:

Glen Davis as our fourth big, second big off the bench v. Glen Davis our starting power forward.

Anyone see a difference?

Shelden Williams as fifth big on a talented team v. fifth pick overall loaded with expectations to be an all world player.

The fact that Rondo and Perk are much more seasoned than two years ago is huge, also.

Can we please get both Marquis and Bowen?

Pretty sure Marquis is a definite one way or the other. Bowen is still just a rumor that he will be a Celtic. But it was a pretty reliable source that said it.
