Over the past couple of weeks I have read a LOT of Ray Allen trade threads on message board and then there was that rumor about Ray and Rondo going to Phoenix. I don't like the idea of trading Ray. I believe that he deserves the chance to play for another title with Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett.
This is a series of 4 videos titled "The Game" and was featured on NBA TV. It gives us some insight into Ray Allen, the person and the player. He is a great player and an even better person. He is a veteran leader and if nothing else, he is an example to the young players as to how to prepare for games and how to carry themselves. Ray Allen is a class act and still has a lot of basketball left. I would love to see him back in green next season. These videos may remind you of why we got Ray and why we should keep him on the team.
I have to say, there is less chance to get a good center backup, if we still have that three big contracts. Ray is a great person, no doubt about that fact. It is all upon which player will come to Boston, and after seen the playoff games, I am certainly felt that Team has lost Energe then 2007-2008 season. Ray was struggled with shooting,Paul too. It's hard to say, who needs to be cut down can help team to revival. The Problem is, Doc plays too many minutes with Paul and Ray,Rondo. Now Center backup's Option was the Key to the high level playoffs,If we have to cut Ray for a good trade to bring another solid center to Boston, That change can solve the troubles, and think about the SG position that we already have JR Giddens, Gabe Pruitt, TA may be one more rookie, they all need minutes. It's not like Paul's situation, which only Scal or Bill Walker can fill up the backup role. Too many guards but less center options, I think cut Ray will be a consideration namely the reasonable move.
