It is sad that players get older and run out of gas. It happened in the 1980s. But like the 80s, our best option is adding to what we have, not breaking up a great team with replacement parts.
All the trades I have heard that include Rondo, Perk or Ray are panic moves. The Celtics don't need to panic. If they trade any of the starting 5 it would be for some kind of cost cutting move or a panic move. Danny just needs to tune up the bench and he can do that with the MLE and vet contracts if he uses them wisely. You simply don't break up one of the best starting 5's in the NBA at their peak if you are trying to win now. I'm not ready for rebuilding again yet.
