The rumors are coming hot and heavy today.
First rumor being passed around comes from a quote by Cedric Maxwell on WEEI. He said that he had talked with Rondo about his contract and was told that Rondo feels that $50 million over 5 years is a good offer. That seems fair to me for a point guard of Rondo's caliber. He has improved every season so far and there is no reason to think that he won't continue to improve in the future.
Big Baby was officially named to the USA practice squad. Congratulations to him.
Another blockbuster trade that will affect the Celtics key rivals. First it was Shaq to Cleveland. Now it appears as though Orlando has traded guard Rafer Alston, forward Tony Battie and guard Courtney Lee for Vince Carter. It seems as though every one of the Celtics chief rivals in the East are making improvements in their teams. Danny needs to stop playing games with Rondo and find a way to make the Celtics better next season. I believe that the starting 5 is as good as any in the league but the team needs bench help. He has to do better this season than Patrick O'Bryant as his big free agent signing.
