I was amazed at how few Hawks boards even had a game thread for this game. Hawks fans don't seem very enthusiastic about their team and the ones who were posting were trashing the Hawks by the end of this game. Sad. Anyway, here are the best comments from around the few boards who did have game threads

0-2 on the season againts the defending champs, but only loosing by a combined 3 points. I expect a win but I'm sure that's way to much to expect considering you never know what ur gonna get out of these birds.

I hate how nonchalant Bibby is about going after loose balls. He assumed it was going out of bounds and Ray Allen outran him.

Glen Davis just ate Joe Johnsons shot. Why does he have to have the game of his life right now?? Put Rondo in the game, House is killing us.

Do the Hawks realize they are playing the Celtics? They aren't fighting for any loose balls or rebounds. This is the laziest they've played at home since the Clippers game. Getting clowned by the Celtics at home w/o their starting 5 on the court is a joke.

They gave the Magic a great game with this lineup. So it would make sense for us to get clowned considering how much better the Magic are than us.

So Marbury has his season high in 1 half vs the Hawks? Pathetic.

Great showing Hawks. You get your butts kicked by the Spurs at home, then play the defending champs who are without KG and get an even worse butt kicking. Way to go gang.

Horford's post game isn't giving me any visions of Karl Malone. Somehow I doubt Malone would have much trouble scoring on Kendrick Perkins and Big Baby.

A flop can be a good play. Josh decided to jump straight into him when he came with the double team. Pierce felt the contact and got to the line, he's one of the best in the business at doing that.

Teams like the Celtics or the Spurs expose the worst we got (rebounding and help D), because they play based on fundamentals, and we do not.

Boston made themselves better by getting Marbury whether people believe it or not..Marbury is insurance and the world champions didn't rest on their laurels..

The Celtics can do whatever they want to the Hawks. That's not a rivalry.

This match up isn't a rivalry. It is a big deal in Atlanta and just another game in Boston. When was the last time Hawks beat the Celtics in anything meaningful?

And yet we still get our *ss kicked and let a 6ft7 almost 300 pound lard *ss destroy us. Where was the great Al Horford?

Hawks are good, not great. They are one of the very best "middle of the pack teams."

Last night, there was no KG for the Celtics. No problem? Yes it was. It was a big
problem. His attitude, his bragging, chest pounding and running off at the mouth
revs up the competetive juices of the Hawks. That was missing last night and no
one turned it up until it was too late.

Rondo said there was no rivalry between he Hawks and the Celtics. Again, they
proved that this is true. The Hawks aren't good enough (That's what he meant)
to be a rivalry for the elite teams in the NBA. Celtics are great. They are the
champions of the NBA and until someone takes the crown away from them, they
will remain the champions.
