JR Giddens is in his third stint with the Utah Flash and picked up where he left off when he was there the last time, helping the Flash to a 109 to 82 win over the Anaheim Arsenal.
Boston Celtics assignee J.R. Giddens picked up one of his game-high 11 assists after finding James Lang for an easy bucket to extend the Flash lead to its largest of the first half at 45-33 with 6:22 left in the second quarter.
Giddens, who is on his third assignment with the Flash, knocked down eight points, grabbed four rebounds, blocked five shots, and recorded a D-League career high in assists.
“It’s been nice for J.R. to go back up to Boston and see what he needs to do from those guys, and then come back here and put all that to work,” Jones added. Giddens started for the Flash and finished with 8 points, 4 rebounds, 11 assists, 1 steal and 5 blocked shots in 34 minutes of play.
These same two teams will meet tonight in Utah at 9:00 PM ET and you can catch the action on NBA Futurecast if you want to see Giddens in action on an off night for the Celtics.
