We are at home, book it, it's a win. No Garnett, no problem! The Celts have barely been playing above .500 without KG (6-5 last 11), and without him there they are definitely not as intimidating. He is the anchor of that ferocious defense and we need to attack the paint with him gone.
If our bigs can't contain guys like Leon Powe though, and give him a double double, it could easily get ugly. No - we are going to lose. Boston just lost at Milwaukee today & will NOT lose 2 in a row. We'll be wearing those hideous green things again. Without KG, I think it will at least be close Bucks won by shooting only 32%. But they forced a season high in turnovers for the Celtics. The Celtics are definitely a beatable team with Garnett out and I think the Bulls will have a pretty good chance at a win on Tuesday. Very favorable matchup for us. Rose should be able to cancel out Rondo. Gordon should be able to cancel out Allen. Salmons could cancel out Pierce. And Noah and Tyrus should cancel out whatever Perkins and whoever is playing PF for them does. All arguments using the form of "This year Boston has.. " are moot, because Boston is missing an MVP caliber player on their team right now, and that player has played the majority of the season and is one of the primary reasons why their record is so good. Without Garnett, Boston is a .500 team. Lets not sleep on the Celtics...they beat Cleveland, Denver, and Phoenix without KG. What have they done to Benny the bull? He's freakin' green.. Mad Cow? Man its so weird seeing Mebury on Boston's bench. Perkins doesn't pass. Ever. Just quadruple him. He will travel. 6 times. Hopefully, they'll call it once. The Celtic big man sans KG are terrible passers That may be why Perkins does not pass he can't. Paul Pierce is a top five complainer Celtics have a good run and besides that its terrible for them...not moving their feet defensively...the Bulls could blow them out IF they continue their continued run and play hard Bill Walker with some of the worse fouls I have ever seen I'm not use to all this scoring in the 1st quarter... Thibodeau's defense not so hot without KG. Rondo really is a good player, don't know why he receives so much flak . Not an allstar, but just below. He is really good for Boston, but he does have some limitations that make me wonder how he would look on a team without 3 All-Stars. Kirk can't even guard Rondo. And another flop by Rondo. If our guards quit fouling, Boston would have negative 4 points. I know the Celtics fans are probably going to try and blame the refs at the end of this game if it goes on like this (the disparity), but honestly they haven't been aggressive at all, and that's why they aren't getting Free Throws. No way Boston cares about winning this game if they're letting Mikki Moore go one on one The Celtics are a donut team without KG. Rondo hurt. Celtics falling like flies
The Celtics have lost their top 4 power forwards. They're down to their 5th string at that position. This isn't the same Boston without KG and Powe. Boston HACKING all night...they should be down to like five guys right now Walker and Moore provide a lot of amusement. Pierce is taking a lot of shots right now, they don't have much teamwork going. I want to give some props to Kendrick Perkins here. He's gotten better offensively. He's managed some touch. I remember, when he came into the league, he was nearly Diop-lite. Now, he's capable underneath. Beating the Celtics would just make my day I hate Boston with a passion. Celtics can't defend when they don't have Perkins/KG defend the paint Doc just didn't want to see the end. T for effect there. Most unnecessary ejection ever. Let it go, Doc. Celtics announcer is SEETHING Rondo is a dirty player. The Bulls struggled to beat a team missing KG, Scalabrine, Tony Allen, Leon Powe, and Glen Davis at home Funny, I don't SEE an asterisk next to the win...weird.
