Philly lucks out and gets to play Boston without Kevin Garnett, out with the flu. Tony Allen also has the flu (but will accompany the team) but Brian Scalabrini, who filled in very well when center Kendrick Perkins missed five games a couple weeks ago, is also out, with a concussion.
Golden opportunity for Philly to beat their hated rival the Celtics. If they lose with all this going for them, it will truly be an embarrassment. I thinks the Sixers take this one. The stars are aligned... As long as they don't go 0-18 from the field to close out the game. I think the only question about this game is if it will be Pierce of Allen that's dropped 20+ on us at halftime before sitting pretty much the rest of the game. Just not feelin too good about this one at all. Even with Garnett out I don't think we do enough inside as it is for that too be much of an advantage Home court and no Garnett increases the Sixers' chances a ton. Not only could the Sixers lose tonight, but if the Celtics breath on them the entire next week might be in jeopardy. I hope they got their flu shots. Maybe they should play wearing masks... ...and rubber gloves. Don't forget that the ball gets touched by those germy players. I never thought about that. Lol Ray Allen and them shouldn't play if the have the flu. What if they spread it to our team. That's unethical! It's the Celtics, what do you expect I have no doubt that rondo will kill us all game You're joking, right? The one guarding Perkins is Dalembert. We should take advantage of that. Perkins is a very good defender and is stronger then Dalembert Lol at Dalembert's "defensive presence." The Celtics have realized that there's no reason to be intimidated by him. Let's hope that the rest of the league isn't watching. Rondo is completely dominating this game, I wish he had the flu . Because in order to run, you actually have to force them to turn the ball over. Rajon Rondo is a top-5 PG. Not Jammer Nelson. We lose, refs will assure that. Seriously, do they call fouls on the Celtics? Sixers get clobbered on one end and Ray Allen gets a phantom call on the other. Its BS. If we want to cut further in this lead keep the ball out of rondos hands! Whoever said Rondo is a top 5 pg is dead wrong by the way. Rajon rondo with way too many layups why don't they let him shoot it! Play fast and we will run em off the court I love it. This is turning into a war and I put my money on the Sixers in a war. I love it when Pierce gets frustrated. Paul Pierce is nothing but a chump. The refs are giving the sixers every call lol You got to be honest about it , every touch foul they call on the Celtics This is the type of play that can beat Boston. They do not like physical play. They like to prance around and have little contact. Fight em and they start missing shots and then they get frustrated and when that happens you can beat them. Boston are one of, if not thee most physical teams in the league. I know KG isn't playing, but still, come on. Well, how are you measuring that ? They are a jumpshooting team. Pierce was definitely killed on that play by Speights but no call. Haha awesome. Celts win this on a three.. Just watch IGGY=CLUTCH That is BALL GAME. Yes, I said it. ABsolutely NO CHANCE this loser Celtics team hits a game winning 3 let alone a game tying shot. Pierce drives to the basket, does his spin move and expects the refs to blow the whistle. It is what he usually does. And he usually gets the call. HOW THE **** DOES ALLEN GET WIDE OPEN I told you Ray Allen was wide open!! IDIOTS! I hate this team We are all wasting our time watching this team. Why are we playing down to the Celtics small front court when we got bigger guys??? Glen Davis small size is not a mismatch we have to adjust to!!! If you told me at the beginning of the season that Philly with brand would play a kg less Celtics I would have believed that to easily be a W It was well coached by the Sixers. You leave a historical choke artist and poor 4th quarter performer in Ray Allen open like that all day. The dude has never hit a buzzer beater in his career and chokes 99% of the time. I wouldn't be surprised if that was designed. I'll take Keith Van Horn in the clutch over Allen. Are u serious? Ray is CLUTCH, clearly u haven't followed his career at all. He hit the most game winners for the Celtics last season, and is second in game winners this season. Prior to that with the sonics he had at least 3-4 game winners per season, and was second in 82games.com clutchness rating to Carmelo Anthony. Get your facts straight. (Celtics fan) That is not true at all actually. If you want to compare him to Melo who has never done anything in big games just like Allen never has then fine be my guest. That is like saying someone is as good in the playoffs as T-Mac. He's historically one of the worst 2 guards in NBA history in the 4th quarter statistic-wise. Also as far as game winners the very stat is subjective. Technically a game winner can be any point that lead to the team winning, even if it is more than a minute left. Statistically and factually though he's never hit a game winner before. His CSPCSA is a whopping 2% which is 2 out of every 100 attempted. He has a complex that won't allow him to say anything positive about the Celtics. Ray was top 5 in the league in points per fourth quarter. Also Clutchness was defined by being down 2 and hitting a 3 with less than 24 seconds left in the game, or being down 1 and hitting a 2 with 24 seconds left in the game. For more information on how it's defined check 82games.com. You're a fool if you think Ray's one of the WORST 2 guards in the league, he's ALWAYS been top 5. (Celtics fan) Ray's last season with the Sonics was the last time he had even a tiny bit of game left. Now he has about as much left as Chris Webber. Damn c-Webb just beat your team at the buzzer on a wide open 3... Whats that feel like? (Celtics fan) Dude, spot baiting people. Notice how many trolls you've attracted? Lol, attracted? What, do you think some type of alarm goes over on the Boston Overrated's board? They were already here reading before I posted any. Yeah and they weren't posting until you opened your mouth. Look back at every Boston post since the end of the game. They all quote you. Who would win this race...
